"Warranty is a joke, transmission was worse. Their response is irrelevant, the transmission was ordered by my father for his Suburban and installed by me both times. The second unit they sent had a worn out tail shaft bushing and was missing the sleeve for the tail shaft altogether. 2nd edit: since these clowns want to deny we ordered the transmission from them, there's pictures of the actual parts! Monster is a joke and their responses prove it."

"They were quick to answer my first review and say I never purchased a unit from them. Hence i put in my order details and took away another 2 stars and now giving a detailed review of my experience. My warranty has since expired so now I'll leave an honest review: Purchaser Edwin A. New York Order # 523414 GM 700R4 conversion. Original order date 4/28/20 In short I had to return my 700R back to them twice for warranty issues. first was no shift slipping*, THEY acknowledged that it was indeed a rebuild issue. I HAD to pay to ship it back. I packed it in a shipping container, it was secured and banded and i sent it on its way. The second time the unit had no overdrive, once again worked with tech on phone and It was determined to be another issue. And they wanted ME to pay again to ship it. After arguing back and forth they would only split the shipping. Once again I packed the unit in a polyethelyne shipping container and sent it out. Both times that they returned the unit, it was wrapped in a black plastic garbage bag strapped to an old skid with ONE old ratchet strap holding it down. *They required me to have the transmission taken to a shop to verify it was slipping and have the shop fill out a form. So in addition to the approx $2000 I spent on their transmission conversion kit: Now was the addition of: 375.00 roundtrip tow to trans shop for verification 125.00 shop diagnostic fee and tech to fill out Monsters form. 375.00 to ship it back TWICE 130.00 wasted in transmission fluid, I could not use the old fluid! I did not want to give them any excuse for a warranty denial saying I used contaminated fluid It wound up costing me $1005.00 extra. In the long run, is a "mail order" trans worth it? I'll let you be the judge. I'd also be leary of 4 star reviews and the person leaving it has only one review in their entire history. And unless you are hosting some show on TV promoting "Monster Trans" I don't think you are going to get the best treatment or service. For me it would have been more cost effective getting either an Art Carr trans or a gear vendors overdrive for approximately the same price and much better quality."

"Purchased a 4R70W for install into my restored 1968 Mercury Cougar. It is running and shifting well. I recommend the deep aluminum pan option, both for the extra cooling and for the ease of draining the fluid with the included drain plug. Mated to 302 engine generating 385 hp.
