"Aldi's is the estranged brother of Trader Joe's. The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by German brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. The company split into Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord, which operate thousands of stores in Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia. Aldi Süd controls the U.S. chain of Aldi stores while Aldi Nord operates in the U.S. as Trader Joe's. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. The story has a no frills aesthetic with items in often jumbled boxes. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Lines will most likely be long because they keep their staff to a minimum. Best of all is the check out. To get people through the line more quickly they will literally throw your groceries into the cart they keep chained at the check out. You will frantically try to grab your items out but will never be fast enough. Fortunately a lot of stores have now added self checkout which makes the process a lot faster. This Aldi's opened in 2020 in Sunrise Florida. I was in the area so I stopped in to complete my weekly shopping. I am on the hunt for the cat couch but they didn't have it. I may be too late. Shop on Wednesday for the best selection. I did get the last $40 cat tower that they will probably like better anyway. It was Asian week so they had a lot of sauces, snacks, and frozen meal items. They also have a lot of cute things for Valentines Day including candy, cards, decorations, and heart shaped food like the potato puffs. I was able to get what I needed and even some things I didn't know I wanted but they don't have the self check out so prepare for long lines."

"I always go to this aldi with zero issues , almost my whole list is always in stock . The lines are always long, so I go with no rush . I have my cart filled to the top , I’ve never in my life , have gotten such a rude cashier like I did today . she kept telling others to skip me , while I was putting my items down.. instead of idk ? Starting on my cash out . I was fine when it was one person skipping me, but one turned into two . I ended up telling her something , and she said “ they have less items “ with a stank attitude. ( keep in mind . We not at Publix . There’s no 10 item less line) , I finally asked for her name , it’s supposedly “ANN “ . this cashier experience, is steering me to Publix, on my next grocery list hual .."

"Horrible service. We received the order is ready email. When we arrived we waited a total of 50 minutes to receive our pick up order. After checking in and waiting 40 minutes. I contacted instacart who called them 3 times, however no associate answered the phone. I was forced to go into the store where I was told to go back to the car and it will be brought out to me. 10 minutes later , I was finally given my groceries."

"Local Aldi, good experience every time I shop, typically cleaner and more organized in the early mornings, in the evening it's slim pickings. The lines are very long on weekends especially on Sundays"
