"I felt I needed to have my Rolex in for a service, I ask Ed's watch & jewelry repair if indeed they had a qualified service person for Rolex's, to my surprise he said yes... I brought it in , a couple days later they called me and said it was ready ! It was running a tad fast, they fixed that, serviced the inside, and polished the band, I would highly recommend them. "Zero stars. Do not take your precious meaningful jewelry here. I am local so I stopped in to this jewelry repair shop the other day with my white gold, Australian Opal Triplet engagement ring. I've been in here before for this same ring when it split and they fixed it which is why I came back... I brought it in because the one prong was snagging on clothing. The woman up front who owns the shop said "give me ten minutes", so I sat in my truck bed and I came back in and she said "The prong broke as it was quite thin." Though I was a bit upset, I remained calm, and she said she would fix it... I asked how much, she said 20$, I said okay. I went to pick it up only to find that she ***GLUED my engagement ring back together*** and DID NOT DO A NEW PRONG. In my opinion, as a customer, this is completely unacceptable for a "jewelry repair" store. I was in complete shock and disbelief at how this was handled. At the original meeting, I gave my name and phone number at the time I dropped my ring off and if extra time or money was needed for it to be fixed I should have been called, notified, asked, something. I picked up my ring in WORSE SHAPE than when I brought it to this shop and even though she took 5 dollars off I was still made to pay for it. I am completely beside myself at the incompetence. If I wanted to break my own ring and glue it back together I could have done that myself. So I went back in and showed her how upset I was at the glue by raising my concerns in a raised voice... I said "This needs to be fixed! Please fix it for free because you broke it, glued it, and thought this was acceptable and it's not." The photos I attached are from today after I picked up The Fixed Ring and I am just SO UPSET AND HURT at how this woman treated my special ring, and it will still snag on clothing! Also, the top is glass that covers the opal and she couldn't give it a quick shine up for me? *** SHE RUINED MY ENGAGEMENT RING ***"
