"Showed up about an hour and a half early ready to work. Was very friendly. Unfortunately the "cleaning" somehow made my house far worse in many areas and made no change in others. The siding closest to the roof around the house looks so bad now that you can see new stains when driving up the block. It also seemed to cause dirt and I don't know what (paint?) from the facia to bleed down onto the tan siding, so now I definitely have to spend thousands of dollars that I don't have to paint my entire house because of HOA complaints. I was hoping that a good cleaning and painting of the gutters and shutters would suffice, but that is out of the question now. I was also told prior to the power washing that I did not have to move my plants from underneath the carport area prior to cleaning, so I didn't. This was a mistake, because now several of them are dead or dying, including three which were gifted to me by a family friend who is recently deceased and had sentimental value to me and a tray of new sod I was planning on using to replace dead zones in my lawn, but now it's dead too. I had a house painter come by later that day to give me an estimate and they told me they would power wash my house prior to painting for $110. I told him I actually just had it power washed that morning for $175. He said "......oh..." So all in all, if I were to go back in time, I would have chosen a different company, spent less money, hopefully not have to paint my entire house yet and moved my plants out of the way, which would have taken me all of 40 seconds. A reminder that it's better to be safe than sorry. The cleaner Wesley was very polite, but unfortunately nothing about this situation seems to have worked out for me. Yes "the paint is old' was mentioned to me prior to the washing. I assumed that meant don't be surprised if it doesn't get amazingly clean, not that the chemicals could make the old paint run down the siding and cause more damage. I think maybe it would have would have been a good idea to do a test area first and at the very least, once you saw that the chemicals were making it worse up top, stopped what you were doing and let me know that it was making it worse and I simply would have not proceeded with treating that top area of the house. I am well aware the house is old, but according to your reviews, plenty of houses you 'washed' around here were old and they seemed to turn out pretty good. Someone said that you made their "neglected old house look beautiful", while mine, again, came out looking even worse. Consider it a lesson learned for us both."
