"I'd like to start of by saying I am not a Floridian. I am from Illinois and recently came down to Jacksonville for work. I will be in the Jacksonville area for a minimum of 2 months, and if the job goes well, then Florida will be my new home. That being said, I spent over 10 hours over the last week trying to get a prescription filled. Every pharmacy I went to, CVS, other walgreens and publix, just said they didn't have the medicine, some gave me the cold shoulder and none of them offered any advice or help. On top of the 10 hours I spent navigating pharmacies in a brand new state, I also was working at a new job location. Today when I went to the Neptune Beach walgreens, the pharmacist there was extremely nice and actually offered to help. I felt confident enough to leave my prescription with the Neptune Beach Walgreens. For the first time since i got to florida a week ago, i finally have hope that i will be able to get my medicines filled while im down here. Ive been terrified all week that i will have to fly back to chicago just to get my medications filled. I have enough stress with being and working in a new state, that finally finding a pharmacist willing to help with my medications was a big relief. If all goes well, the Neptune Beach Walgreens will be my go to for my prescription needs while I'm down here! Update- On 11/24- After some mishaps on behalf of my Dr.'s office and much back and forth between the Dr. And walgreens I was finally able to get my meds filled 5 days after i dropped my script off. I downgraded my rating from 5-4, because of my experience when I picked up my meds. The pharmacist that was at walgreens when I originally dropped off my script wasn't there, and I still had a very positive experience with him when I dropped off my scripts. However when I picked up my scripts, the person who handed me my scripts and verified my ID definitely stereotyped me. Not everyone is an addict and some people are on medication to treat actual medical issues and to stereotype everyone on a particular medication is not professional, and it is not ok. I expect more from the Healthcare profession, pharmacists included. I don't know the depth of the issues in florida with addiction and people taking advantage of the system. However, Healthcare professionals, pharmacists included, need to treat everyone with compassion And shouldn't show bias towards everyone taking a specific medication. Automatically stereotyping someone who has no red flags in the system, or hasn't raised any red flags is unprofessional and is degrading to the person you are sterotyping. People who work in Healthcare and who can't be un-biased, need to find a field outside of Healthcare to work in. Without my medication and current treatment plan, I wouldn't be where I'm at today. 2 years ago, my life was a mess and my work performance and relationships were strained. I was super depressed, felt like a failure and I was at risk of being put on a performance plan. 2 years into my treatment for my neurodiversity and I'm now in Florida on a stretch management assignment and being considered for a promotion. My life has taken a complete 180 degree turn since my diagnosis and treatment. Moral of the story is, don't judge people you know nothing about, all you do is give Healthcare professionals a bad reputation. I still highly regard the pharmacist I dealt with last sunday 11/19 and will try to work with him for all my pharmacological needs while I'm in Florida."

"Called this location to call in a medication for a patient and the women pharmacist who took the call was incredibly rude. I stated that normally I would leave a voicemail but I knew the patient was on her way up there as she is elderly and in a wheel chair. Her exact response was "well that's not going to make it go any faster" She really needs to learn some customer service skills and not be so rude."
