"Good value hotel. A little far from everything, but it’s because it’s the starting category of rooms for this resort. Only complaint is the room had a broken bathroom door. Would have said something but we were only there a few days and weren’t really in the room, so we dealt with it."
"We stayed several days in the Little Mermaid building of the Arts and Animation report at Disney. The check-in process was fantastic, with people at the door to check you in and get you setup with your bands immediately. Everyone is nice as usual, and the design work at the entryway was really cool. The waiting area has a lot of seating and is very welcoming. The walk to our building was quickly realized after the first full day at the park though. It doesn't seem like much the first time, but it gets longer and longer after each day! The building is ultimately a fairly old hotel that's just had a facelift. However, our daughter didn't know a difference and the art, decorations, and additional amenities made it all worth it. The best piece is the access to the gondola that takes you to and from the parks. This service is amazing and sure beats a rental car or even the busses which can take a while and be quite crowded. We had a blast here, but I had to bump down to 4 stars due to the room quality, which was basically equivalent to a Motel 6. Outside of the room, it was great!"
"Art of Animation resort was excellent. Rooms and resort were very colorful. Food court selections were very good. All Parks were easy to travel to.....busses or Skyliner. Great resort for young families. Can't wait to go back!!!!!!!"
"The room we stayed in was building #7. In order to get to it we had to walk between two other buildings. There was a lot of walking just to get to the room. The room itself was nice but very small compared to other places we stayed in Disney. In order to get a bus we drove to the main building where you are picked up and dropped off. If you want to go to Epcot or Hollywood Studios there is no bus, you need to use the Skyliner (cable car). The problem is that guests from Pop Century also use the Skyliner. You need to arrive extra early. The first day we used it, I could not see the end of the line. The two days we used the Skyliner it rained at night and it was shut down due to possible lighting. They provided bus service but we had to walk in the rain to the other side of the park for the bus. We didn't drive when we took the Skyliner, it was close enough to walk. The bus dropped us off at the main lobby. We asked for a ride back to our room where a woman at the front desk provided one for us. Unfortunately in the dark and rain both times the driver dropped us off at the wrong spot which meant more walking. There is a good selection of food at the main building for snacks and full meals. If you have young children you may like to stay at this hotel but my wife and I would not stay here again. We chose the Art of Animation because it was less expensive than other hotels. Next time we will spend the extra money! If you are looking to stay here, look at the layout of the buildings. You can see some of the distances between things."
"Recently stayed here, we did experience an issue where our room was available but it was a king bed instead 2 double beds like we booked. It took a while for that to get straightened out, but once it did, the stay was great. Small pool was right outside suit. The room was big enough for us (2 adults and 2 kids) and also included room for crib and double stroller. Housekeeping came by every 2 days. We watched movies by the pool, which was fun and relaxing after a day at the park. Little Mermaid area is about a 6 min walk to the sky liner and main area. It feels longer if you are tired and feet hurt. Lol"
