"McGirts Creek Regional Park offers a mix of amenities, including ball fields and a relatively large playground. Unfortunately, during my visit, I noticed several maintenance issues that need attention. The playground is in need of tidying up, with downed limbs, branches, and leaves scattered around. Additionally, the equipment has a broken slide and is covered in mold and fungus, raising safety concerns. While restrooms are available, I cannot comment on their condition as I didn't use them. On a positive note, there are covered shelters, grills, and plenty of bench seating throughout the park. However, the presence of scattered trash debris is disappointing. Given these concerns, I'm hesitant to return to McGirts Creek Regional Park until these problem areas are addressed."
"Awesome paved walking trails that run through a wooded area and open spaces with two huge ponds with ducks and geese. The woods are not very thick and you can see through them, which made me feel more safe. Playground equipment next to bathrooms and water fountain. Bring your own t.p. Baseball fields and a community center. Overall pretty clean but the walkways don't appear to have been blown off for several weeks."
"The park overall seems really nice; however, we had to cancel our baseball game because there were so many fire ants on the field. And I can only assume it was the same across the park, especially since soccer practices were putting dozens of cones on the field to identify fire ant hills. I was told that the city does not want or will not allow for the field to be treated because it is bad for the environment of some sort."
"You can tell this would be a great playground despite being a little weathered, had to do some cleaning up first before my child could play with empty mini liquor bottles littering the ground amongst other generic trash. Has a good basketball court and plenty of field space for other sports as well"
