"Well-maintained, flat trail, great parking & clean porta-potty. No shade, so avoid hot days. I saw no wildlife; I was the only creature foolish enough to be out in 94°. Loop A was dry mid-May. Trail markers could be better."
"Beautiful trailhead with very kind rangers. Unfortunately, overnight parking is not allowed. The trailhead is open sunrise till sundown and costs $1 for day use. The trail loops in a figure eight after walking on a straight path for a short period of time."
"If you love nature this is the right place for you, the forest and trail is flooded most of the year, wich makes it a great place for offroading, just make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle, otherwise you will be stuck for sure. While there, explore the rest of the forest, within minutes from main road, this place is completely wild and preserved. If you read this review and visit the place, let me know your thoughts."
"August 2021: deep water on all trails unable to walk easily. $2 entrance fee. They do not accept Florida State park pass or NPS pass. Portable toilet at entrance. Some shades picnic benches."
"Walked the trail as part of the State Forest Trailwalker Program. Not really sure if this trail gets walked much (will upload photos and video). Some portions of the trail are missing trail markers. It rained recently so for some parts of the trail you had to walk in 1 to 2 feet of water. It was a good experience. Bring a GPS to keep yourself on track and bring proper clothes for hiking in water and through high brush in dry areas."
