"Steve is as good as it gets. After moving here in July 2019 (this review is long overdue, I got a cut there yesterday though which reminded me) I was afraid I wouldn't find a barber like the one I had on Long Island. From the get go I could tell I'd be happy here. The Grateful Dead decor made me feel right at home. On top of that, he is super efficient, remembers who you are and will ask about your life/family/updates, is Veteran owned, and not once in the 4 years since I moved here has he even come close to butchering my hair. If there are people waiting in front of you don't worry, take a seat and you'll be up before you know it. Just an overall great guy who will take care of his regulars like family. I will NEVER go to another barbershop in this area unless he leaves/retires. No appointments needed, walk in only, great conversation, more than fair prices (this ain't no $10 uneven chop cut like the chains or rookies), and great atmosphere. Don't forget to say hello to Patch! Keep it up Steve, I so appreciate having you here and not having to worry about who is cutting my hair and if they'll mess it up. Any negative reviews on here must be from people without common decency (other self righteous northeast transplants, perhaps?). If you want your hair done right, quick, and in a real barbershop atmosphere, stop looking around and come by. I look forward to bringing the baby to Steve for her first cut and wouldn't have her go anywhere else! I hardly, if ever, post reviews to google but if there is one spot deserving of one from me, it's Steve and his 9th Ave Barbershop."

"Very disappointed. While yes it's veteran owned which we seek out. The owner Steve Pope is rude & treated us as thou we didn't matter. Place did look clean. Yet his attitude & lack of concern for our questions made us leave. We are a veteran family as well & deserve just as much respect. Will not recommend this place EVER to ANYone. After reading your response I feel we made the right decision to leave. Your ignorant statement just shows your attitude and outlook. A mature businessman would accept the review and leave it at that. We just consider the source.."
