"Spartan but nice for a quiet picnic. Has a primitive trail near the river which brings you back in a loop. Saw raccoons, squirrels and several song birds (thrashers, catbirds and cardinals). We enjoyed a quiet picnic on a wooden table under a shade tree. The woods are thick with pines and water oaks and filled with vines including red passion flowers. Large native ferns line the river including cinnamon ferns and netted chain ferns. Wear boots or hiking shoes."
