"On Dec 2023 I took me my daughter and husband to park. We walked for almost two hours seen a few deer was chilli went early. My sister called and she went up to park and they walked around almost two hours as well and they seen a black bear she said was large. She grabbed her pup and ran lol the bear ran into the woods showed no aggression just wanted to get away from them. I did see the last sitting on record was 7 years ago for that park. Just thought it was really cool, I’m born and raised in Florida and I have never seen a bear in the woods"
"Currently under reconstruction. Trails aren't marked, no signage. No public facilities that I could see, either. I had a lovely walk. Even after a wrong turn on return that took me to the highway!"
"Didn’t feel safe. Homeless dude with aggressive pit bull off leash. The police were there but didn’t seem concerned. Not sure where the dog went but the dude was tripping and yelling walking in the water. No signs for anything. No mile markers. Random arrows that didn’t really mean anything. Paths lead to nowhere. Had to keep backtracking. There are far better paths in other areas. We will steer clear of here."
"To be in this small city I did not expect it to be so relaxing and beautiful, it still needs more work and signs and better mapping although it is not big. You can find all kinds of animals, even people taking a nap in the middle of the water haha, crazy right, better to go during the day because there are some creepy areas."
"Great park. They let people live there for free. So that's cool. The trails are not marked so bring your phone with GPS. The river has some large gators that you can see sometimes. It's jammin' with wildlife. We've seen deer, bunnies, snakes, turtles, gators, razorback hogs, a giant bull was there once. My dog made friends with it. Also have owls, squirrels, woodpeckers of different varieties and more."
