Kiwanis Park

"I grew up playing at this park as a child we used to swim in that lake. I still go there to look at the lake. Nice park for families to take their kids and pets."

"Playground is OK but you have to deal with the hangout of grown-ups making it look like a drug active zone, not judging it could be homeless but is what it looks like. Mainly locals visit not to many people go across town to let their children have at it."

"Kiwanis park ranks about number three for our family as far as parks go in Winterhaven – I love the open, easily managed traditional play structures with over 7 slides. They are “Miracle” brand, a little dated, but it appears that they have started to replace parts on the larger play structure as the slides appear newer than on the smaller play structure. The smaller play structure has significant fading on most of its plastic, but a wonderful ramp for the Littles to run up and wheelchair accessibility. Two separate sets of swings with toddler and regular swings on each. Two picnic pavilions with charcoal grills are available as well as multiple benches. A word of caution- I have been to this park on a few occasions when multiple transient people have taken up temporary residence. I’d recommend circling by first before parking. Bathroom’s are frequently locked as well. Also, beautiful view of the lake, which was amazingly clear on our last visit. There is only a low wooden fence, so watch the littles."

"I like that this park has a nice fishing pier, views, ample covered picnic tables and a restroom. There were two playgrounds. One for smaller children and the other for big kids. I have been looking for a park to walk with my daughter who is recovering from a serious brain injury. This park is on a slope and fairly dirty, thus the okay rating. Don't confuse this park with the second Kiwanis park that is also in Winter Haven. I haven't yet been to the other one."
