Big Bend Wildlife Management Area - Tide Swamp Unit Creek Rd, Steinhatchee, FL 32359

"Tide Swamp is a slice of natural Florida. It's what settlers would've seen when they arrived, and it still stands today. There's a 14 mile driving tour you can take through the entirety of the unit. In addition to that, there's 3 boat ramps with access to both Dallus Creek and the Gulf. It also has Hagan's Cove, which is an eBird Hotspot, with an observation tower and hiking trail through the marsh and flatwoods. The Big Bend WMA staff do an excellent job at maintenance and restoration of the natural area!"

"Little place to put in a smaller, motorized, watercraft or air boats. No wait, no lines because the water is too shallow for single or twin engine power boats great for kayakers or canoes as well."

"I enjoyed going to the side area where the boat ramp is and I was very happy to see someone found a stray cat and took care of it and left the story behind with a picture so others with no what happened... Also be warned of the can't see'ms here and the deer flies I was lucky enough this time to see a one and a half foot baby gator and lots of fiddler crabs and some ospreys * warning you you can't get lost in the roads in there and trying to get out with maps is next to Impossible because of hunters roads that are not marked that are private roads they can get you to the main road but you can get through the gate gate"

"Great Management Area roads conditions is really wonderful see a lot of Wildlife seen quite a few deer few Hogs Eagles different Pawn birds and wading Birds along the shoreline in the in the Sawgrass worth the trip get out in nature and walk and look"
