Reviews
"Wonderful paved trails for walking, biking, running. Well-maintained, good signage, bathroom facilities, benches with unique memorials, camping and picnic grounds. Like many wonderful things though, the people who use them can be the problem and this is the case with the trails. 99% are friendly, courteous, etc. but the one percent who block the trail, ride their e-bikes too fast, or don't let you know they are "on your left" can be a problem. Last, and once you see it, it becomes a funny quirk of the trail - the vast majority of people wear either a garment that tells you where they are from via their sports team, college, etc. or a t-shirt from a local establishment. It can be a nice conversation starter."
"This is such a beautiful and well-maintained trail system. The landscaping and cleanliness were so appreciated during my 7 mile morning run. The personalized memorial benches were also really sweet and made me reflect on how life is so short. My only advice is to douse yourself in DEET before you go. I was attacked by yellow flies and was not aware of the season until I googled it after my run. Perhaps a warning sign could be added near the entrances."
"This is a great hiking or biking trail in Orange Beach. You can rent bicycles at 22989 Perdido Beach Blvd. They have restrooms, rest spots, yurt camping (hike of bike in) and water along the trails if needed."
"the backcountry bicycle trail is the number one attraction in Gulf Shores for my family over 20 mi of new paved trails through the State Park to Orange Beach this is an exceptional experience"
"For bikers, joggers and walkers.Miles of well-marked trails, each different. From main entrance native trees and plants are identified. Rest facilities, butterfly garden, camping, and lots of benches to stop and rest. You feel like you're in a remote country trail but the beaches are just a short hop away. Lots of ospreys and you might spot an eagle or bobcat. Lefty the gator is a main attraction, especially in March and April."
