"Such a fun experience! Wear water shoes, look up the low tide schedule, and stop at the 7 Eleven by the beach access 12 to get a pair of $14.99 snorkeling goggles / snorkel, you’ll find beautiful shells. You need to be careful taking small children! You cannot park at beach access 13!!!!"
"Hidden gem of siesta key, absolutely beautiful but it can be difficult to find a spot on busy days. One of the best, if not the best places to snorkel in Florida without the need of a boat. Took our paddle boards out and had one of our greatest snorkeling paddle trips ever."
"This adventure requires you to be (minimally) able-bodied. Limited parking is available at "Public Beach Access 12", which is a one-lane little alley at Old Stickney Point Rd. and Midnight Pass Rd. Do not attempt to park near Access 13, your car will be towed away. "Access 12" takes you directly onto the beach. A short walk South on the sand (~10-min.) will lead to the narrow concrete retaining seawall by a house. Walk ~30 feet to its tip, go down 4 mossy steps, cross ~20 feet of (very) shallow rocky sea. You're there! Lots of green moss covering flat rocks on this secluded beach (in front of private properties), pools of seawater with tons of interesting-looking seashells. It's beautiful!"
"Very cool place to go but not east to get to. It's too bad that there isn't a public Access that doesn't involve walking in mucky water, on sharp rocks, or along a retaining wall. The area is beautiful though! It feels like you are standing in the Gulf! The small Beach area that you see is all shells! It was really cool to see!"
"Lovely spot on the beach to relax. The water in early March, was just warm enough to enjoy without getting too chillid even after an hour in the water. This beach is less busy that the areas further north. Access is a short walk from our friends rental. This is the perfect place to just chill, leave your stress behind and forget your troubles for the afternoon!"
