"I was physically assaulted by Diamond Diamante at this location today after recieving hands down the worst experience at this hair salon. She is rude, unprofessional and acts like an animal! I booked an appointment with her because her godmother(work colleague) recommended her. I booked the appointment 9 days ago for today 8/29/2023 at 12noon. The service was for a style that cost $188 and I added in a $15 wash and blow dry for a total of $203. In order to book the appointment i had to make a $15 deposit leaving the balance at $188. I didn't receive the address or any decent communication from her. This morning I texted at 7:45 am asking for the address. She never responded until she asked me at 11:13am to come at 1:30pm instead of 12pm a full hour and a half later than my appointment. I agreed in a response via text When I arrived she wasn't there. A handyman had also came by to install some cable/ extension wires and after I told him no one was answering the door he made a call to see why no one was opening the salon door. I knocked on the door, no answer. I called several times, no answer. Finally Diamond showed up 20 minutes late with no explanation, no apology and an attitude. The shop was a mess, very dirty and unorganized and her attitude was very unprofessional. All she had was cheap V05 shampoo and conditioner (the kind you see in Dollar Tree). When I asked if she had any other shampoo/conditioners she got angry and told me " you can go home and wash your own hair if you want to". ***At this point I really wish I had followed my thoughts and left the dirty salon but I didn't have time now that it was after 2pm to find someone to do my hair last minute on my day off.*** After she washed my hair we discussed the style I wanted and the length and she stated braiding. At the end the braids were not the length I requested and they were messy where you can see my hair seperate from the braiding hair. The end of the braiding hair are choppy and frayed. Very unprofessional looking braids. I was turned away from the mirror the entire time patiently waiting to be finished so I could leave and never return and was not aware that the end looked so bad until after she was finished. When discussing the remaining payment I asked her for her cash app since she said they didn't take cards and sent her $185. She requested that I pay her more money and that my balance was $215 (I have no idea where she got this sum) and when I told her that I gave her the right amount for her service she proceeded to physically attack me. While I was waking out the door she grabbed my hair yanking me backwards and told her sister to give her the scissors so she could cut the braids out. I managed to pull away from her but with scissors in hand she pursued me. Her sister was attempting to attack me as well. I was genuinely shocked because everything escalated so quickly. I paid her the balance owed even though my hair was not too my satisfaction and here they were physically attacking me with no room for a verbal conversation. I didn't trust to turn my back to her so I stood facing her telling her to calm down. She held the scissors above her head in one hand in a stabbing motion and started throwing jab like punches with the other hand closed fist hitting me once in the face. At this point I told her that I was going to contact the police. I called the police to file charges and she and her sister made up lies saying I assaulted them. I intend to follow up with the States Attorney to press charges because what she did was wrong and uncalled for even if she felt I owed her $15. I have screenshots of everything I said including the price, appointment info, deposit info and cash app payment and text messages. The owner of this salon needs to understand that yes all money isn't good money but having unprofessional employees in your establishment willing to cause physical harm to clients is not good for money either."
