Grant Pools

"Signed contract with Grant pools in Port Charlotte on August 5, 2022. Was told it would be completed within a year. 1 year and 3 months later this is how much of a pool that we have. It is now a running joke that we might have a pool completed before christmas of 2024. Over and over no communication from Grant pools they are non-responsive to our calls and visits..we will get back to you...Randy will call you back...were not sure whats taking so long we will call back when we find out. Without a call back. We finally contacted our city permitting and have found that the cage permitting request has not yet been submitted. I am pretty calm about most things but the lack of communication is just frustrating. Please follow up when you say you are going to follow up, there seems to be a black hole over there we communications get lost. If you are looking for a pool to be installed in North Port/Port Charlotte area pay a little more and go with a company that is going to actually complete the job."

"We had a pool built in June of 2020, since completion you have one year warranty on the pavers. We began to have pavers settling around the pool so I called in June of 2021 to make sure the repairs would be covered under warranty. Kay made notes on the account and told me that they were very busy with everyone building pools because of Covid and that Randy would contact me. I’ve called multiple times over two years and spoke with Kay about the situation and still got the same answers and yet still no call from Randy. Here we are in August of 2023 still no call back and Kay now tells me there’s nothing that they can do because it’s been so long, keep in mind I’ve been calling for two years trying to resolve the matter but never getting a call back for someone to come and do the work, I do not recommend using these people for any of your pool needs. They do not follow through on anything that they promise you. To top it all off my pool cleaner (Holiday Pools) sister company has also noted this down for two years as he has also been aware of the situation."

"Kathy is the best at evading questions I don’t know what’s going on with this company with her holiday pools messing up or is McLeod landscaping Messing them up or they don’t want to get the contractors to do their job they started my pool in September September it’s gonna be A year here I see all the other pools in my area from TJ pools going in within four months. It’s absolutely crazy. I’m starting to wish I never contacted these people for a pool."

"You need to finish Charlene’s pool. You’re taking more than 2 years to finish pools. Your employees don’t know what’s going on when called. Your business ethics are absurd. The owner has a copy and paste reply for all google reviews. That should show you that he doesn’t care. You only have 50 reviews you can atleast take a moment and say a proper message, and thank the customers you’ve been borrowing their money for such a long time with out holding up your end of the bargain. I hope you get a good APR rate on the money in your bank acct that you’re holding while your customers suffer. Attorney general office is next."

"In October of 2021 we signed a $58,000 contract for a pool and cage with Grant Pools, a dba of Holiday Pools of West Florida. We were told by Mr. Quackenbush it would take 5 months to start and then 4 more months to finish. We expecting a completed pool by the following summer. 1.) They didn't even pull the permit until 6 months later. (April of 2022) 2,) They didn't start the work until 6 months after that. (October of 2022) 3.) It is now 7 month after they started. We have paid them around $47,000 and our pool still does not have have a cage, electrical, pool equipment or the pebble pool finish. I was told they must do the cage next and could not give me a date for that as "They are delayed because their employees moved on to greener pastures". So I asked, "Can't you at least work on the electrical and pool equipment while waiting for the cage?" I was told I would need to pay them another $10,000 for that to happen. So they are expecting me to pay in full (other than $500.00) and my pool is only half done. I said can't you take money I have already given you for things you haven't completed and put that towards the equipment and they said "No. That is not the contract you signed". People working and Grant pools are rude to work with for the most part. Especially Randy! They always try and talk over you and have an explanation for everything other than when my pool is going to be complete."
