"A man named Wayne was assigned next in line to cut the next customer which is Me! I gave him the benefit of the doubt and wanted to follow my gut but like I said, I gave him the benefit of a doubt because all I needed was a trim. I sit down in his chair, and he proceeds to look at my hair. tell me what he’s gonna do And I say OK What happened? Next made my heart skip several beats and my stomach was in knots. He just started cutting my ends without even brushing my hair or wet it first, may I add that I have natural curly hair, anyway. I said you haven’t even brushed my Hair yet? why are you cutting my hair? It’s not gonna be even I have natural curly hair and I told you this I said I know you know what you’re doing so I’ll let you keep doing it, he said yes I do know what I’m doing but since you’re uncomfortable I will let someone else finish cutting your hair. I declined his offer and said he had already started it and needed to finish it. I’m in my 40s and it took me a very long time to grow out my hair this long. When he was finished cutting my hair which didn’t require water or brush, just scissors eye level to my hair freestyling my cut so I paid the man 20 bucks and left. I called the next Great Clips that was closest to the location that I went to and got a hold of Cheryl over off Deerwood. That woman felt so sorry for me and didn’t realize that just because of his stupid unprofessional mistakes that he made I lost 4 inches of my hair. Why didn’t I go back inside and let the people fix my hair at the current location: well there was probably about two other stylist there and it’s not like we were being quiet so they had every opportunity to jump in and help out. I am devastated and I hate my hair. It doesn’t look long anymore. The time it took to grow the length of my hair, took a very long time, and the fact that all it took was a simple mistake to lose every sense of confidence I had left in myself to grow my hair out. Nothing can fix what you’ve ruined. Yeah so it’ll grow out but that’s not the point I know it will grow out but my hair didn’t deserve to cut like that and quite frankly I don’t see why he even works there. Maybe he was uncomfortable and he should’ve confronted me I don’t know, I know at the end when I got up he seemed nervous and he did pull my hair and when he pulled off the Cape around my neck or whatever it pulled my hair, it’s just a bad experience altogether and it’s guys or girls like him that gives salons like Great Clips a bad name"

"I guess I am a glutton for punishment thinking it would change. I've gotten my haircut at this place ~ 6 times over the last 8 months. The location I have been going to is on Old Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville, FL I have tried explaining what I want in a haircut and luck of the draw has it that 4 of the 6 times I get the same lady. I don't know if she doesn't listen or doesn't care. She never cuts my hair the way I ask her to. I guess she thinks she knows how my haircut should look better than I do. The most recent time I went in there I showed her a picture of what I wanted her to do and I told her NOT to cut any off of the top or go past a certain point in the back because I get a cowlick. She did a horrible job. I had to tell her to go higher on the sides 3 times and to go shorter near the top of my hair and it still wasn't what I wanted AND she cut too much in the back and decided to blend the top after I told her not to cut ANY off of the top. I decided to just pay and leave because I don't like confrontation. I also don't care that you used to cut hair for Miss America pageant participants, celebrities or whatever and I don't care to see your photo album. She tells me about it every time I go in there. She may be great at cutting women's hair but horrible at cutting mine. I will not ever go back to this location and possibly never go to another Great Clips again. I'll take my chances elsewhere."
