"My son's prescription was sent 10/17/17 around 5:30 p.m. I took my son home and was coming back to pick it up. Before I could leave the pharmacy (Pharmacist Sandra) called me saying the insurance wouldn't run (because I had a second insurance showing, however I didn't) and that I could just pay full price or i'd need to contact the insurance in the morning. I call this morning and had everything fixed with the insurance. I call them back and ask them to re-run it. Of course the same issue. But now also we can't pick it up until 10/25/17 because its a refill (it was a brand new prescription for an antibiotic). I call another Pharmacy and they call me back in literally 15 minutes to tell me that my son's medicine is ready to be picked up. I call the pharmacy back and speak with the Pharmacist Jennifer and explain to her that my son was very sick and this was an error on their part and another pharmacy was able to do it. Her response was "okay". That it was sent to the wrong pharmacy last night and that's the only reason it was able to be fixed so quickly. No. YOUR pharmacy called me, after it was called in telling me there was an issue. So apparently it wasn't sent to the wrong place last night since they had it. And there wasn't an insurance issue because the other pharmacy was able to use it and it wasn't a refill because i'm pretty sure no doctor gives a refill on an antibiotic. This pharmacy doesn't care. Nobody is on the same page and they obviously don't know what's going on or how to use their systems or read a prescription which is very scary. Needless to say, use Flomaton Pharmacy if you're in our area. They actually care. When you errors makes someone medically worse, especially a child and all you can say is "okay", you shouldn't be in the medical field."
"Love love love!!! They get busy, but are so helpful and eager to do all they can. They only have so many hands & with 8 phone lines sometimes you just have to be patient and call back! They obviously do all they can with what help is allowed through state board law and WalMart policy...wish they could have more sometimes! The drive thru is only for those disabled or in severe need...plus just think- they often are only allowed one cashier and bless her heart she runs 2 registers out front AND 2 drive thru lanes?!? How can u expect them to get to you soon?? It isn't Burger King haha come on, be realistic...people in the store are priority..not drive thru...& the pharmacy always calls when the drive thru is out, but that's up to maintenance to repair..not the doctor of pharmacy or techs....and some people need to comprehend- when you see a line of 5 or 10 people...come back later or suck it up buttercup! It's gonna be awhile. That's life. The pharmacist and techs work so hard here, that's easy to tell for anyone that isn't selfish or blinded by their own needs...take a deep breath, take a step back and remember- the pharmacist has a huge job checking for drug interactions, side effects, etc for you and your child...and the techs run around doing all they can, too...no one truly knows the pressures and ALL the monumental amount of daily demands that must be met when you're serve hundreds of people daily. Also, Walmart is one of the FEW pharmacies still taking nearly every insurance..so their volume has drastically increased, which means wait times increased..and the drugs are going off the shelf faster...we all have bad days..we all have our moments when we may say or do something inappropriate..but just shake it off and realize often it's nothing personal or intentional. Plus, I can say first hand how easy it is to accidental hang up a line when you have 6 lines ringing and 2 lines holding for one pharmacist- when you hit that hold button you may instead accidentally hit the call end button..lots of buttons, lots of expectations, customers always in a hurry, pharmacy team rushing around because they care and are trying to meet every demand...it's exhausting and accidents happen! If you got hung up on accidentally, wait a little while then call back- good chance they're swamped and it was an accident! Plus think of how often each day they deal with irate demanding patients that want their narcotics, often way too early, so then sometimes it gets messy and the police or AP have to be called...people have no clue the daily stresses...dealing with the public is hard, but especially when you're in the pharmacy...not every customer is kind or coherent or sober or patient or level headed. Sometimes computers falfunction, sometimes the phones go out, sometimes the drive thru is out, sometimes you need to be more clear, sometimes a different tech comes in or a different pharmacist and they don't know anything about an issue for you...it's life...no reason to be unchristian-like or cuss or yell or throw stuff or blow a vein. Just breathe...relax...calmly state your case and watch as these girls will do all they can...half of the time they don't know if you've had an issue or what might have happened..but anytime you come on abrasive you are likely to get defensiveness back...an offended brother can be very unyielding, as the scripture goes. My prescriptions are always good to go- I request ahead of time and have just learned the process...I find that's been helpful for both myself and the pharmacy. Sometimes you have to realize the issue isn't always the OTHER person..sometimes it's you..or maybe both parties handled things wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right- usually an outstretched hand of kindness can turn a whole situation around. Bless someone today, and watch as the blessings pour out on you. I know when you're sick or your child is it's a very tough situation..and believe me, if you communicate that kindly to your pharmacy team, they are likely to do all they can to safely yet quickly get your prescriptions done. Try it."
"Worst pharmacy in Brewton as far as service goes! Last month, one drive-through lane said "out of order", now they both do! What's the point of having them?? Even when they were working, it would take forever just for someone to acknowledge that you are even there! What a joke!"
