Copeland Pool

"Worst pool we have been to in the county. Bleachers are rusted over and not usable. Diving off a concrete wall with no starting blocks or platforms for swim meets. Should be closed down. Get the kids into a safer pool not run by the City. Only reason it gets one star is because of the friendly staff."

"It would be higher rated if they were open more than 15 hours a week. What kind of public pool is closed on weekends during the summer? 4pm-7pm on weekdays is a terrible schedule. It used to be open on weekends starting at 2pm a year or two ago. Not sure what happened. Other than the terrible hours it's a great pool. Not crowded, bathrooms are decent, good playgrounds at the park and the pirate ship is great for children."

"THIS POOL ROCKS!! Amazing lifeguards who create an exceptionally safe and inclusive environment for all patrons, clean and refreshing water, and a super cool pirate ship for the little ones to play on. This pool has everything to offer, a zero depth entry, 8- 25 yard lap lanes, 2- one meter diving boards along with 1- three meter board into a separate dive well. Every time is a pleasure, the nicest staff and cleanest facility. Copeland deserves more attention that it gets. A true gem of the City of Tampa pools!"

"Very nice facility...remember when it was being built as our former house bordered east side.. great experience of swim meet between Tampa city pools...grandson took awards but best is that more Florida children can swim!!"

"The pool is usually not crowded. The bathrooms have plenty of toilet and urinal, as well as showers. They do not have lockers. There are 10 25-meter lanes for laps that are usually empty. There is a separate pool for diving from the diving boards (both a low and high board. There is a wading section with a pirate themed sprinkler.. The life guards do a good job of maintaining order. The parking lot is a decent size. There are bleachers for spectators to any swim meets they my hold. The place is always very clean and orderly. This place is an excellent refuge for Tampa residents. What I don’t understand is why it is almost never crowded. A great option when you don’t wanna drive to the beach. It is connected to a community center with a gym/basketball court, along with classrooms. A great example of tax dollars well spent."
