"Top Notch service. Ask for Martin when you go there, he is very knowledgeable and helpful. He definitely takes pride in his work and his store. The service I have gotten there is always above and beyond. I have sent my teenager in there, who knows nothing about what is needed and guy there knew exactly what she needed for our pool. I highly recommend using them for all your pool needs! Edit: My daughter said she thinks the guy that helped her was Darcy"
"We shopped at Pinch a Penny on Belcher for several reasons, it’s close to home making it convenient, they almost always have the chemicals we are looking for in stock, and the customer service used to be unmatched. However in the past couple of years we have seen many changes. One is the experience level of the employees. I understand there is standard turnover but it seems new employees lack technical experience and are strictly trained to push water testing and chemical sales. Most do not seem to have any hands on experience and lack proper training. The other huge issue I have is the level of hostility we have recently encountered in the store. I have tried on numerous occasions to locate the store manager quietly but he never seems to be in the store, or if so is definitely not present to the customers. The first occasion took place a few months back while I was in the store with my son. There was a guy in the store whom I have never seen before, he was not in a typical uniform, had a closely shaved head, and was wearing khaki pants with golf style shirt. I got the impression this guy was definitely administration or corporate on a higher level I only got a quick glimpse at him but very clearly heard him screaming and swearing at the employees in back about soda. The terms which he was using were quite vulgar and nothing I am able to repeat here. To me this is degrading, very unprofessional and no one should be treated this way. Everyone in the store seemed on edge, we noticed one of the assistant managers go back to check on the situation but it was obvious it was not in his control to change it. I felt very uncomfortable and tried to get my son out of the store as quickly as possible. The second instance occurred approximately a month later. Again we shop here due to convenience and I would no longer bring my children into the store. My wife sat with my kids while I ran in to get chlorine - as we were leaving we drove through the back alley and witnessed one of the newer employees whom I believe is an assistant manager, short with longer hair - in a rage, striking the dumpster with what appeared to be a long tool/pole. Shocked I hung back as I was afraid to drive past him while he was swinging. I find this behavior completely unacceptable, this type of rage and hostility does not belong in a public storefront. I will not shop somewhere I can not feel safe. As previously stated - I have quietly attempted to notify the store manager of these instances to no avail and do not want to be responsible for any more outbursts by employees or admins so I will just remove my business. However I do feel these are issues that corporate needs to be aware of so they can be addressed!"
"My go to store for all my pool needs. The staff here are always eager to help and have plenty of people on staff so you never have to wait."
"DO NOT USE PINCH A PENNY FOR YOUR POOL CLEANING MAINTENANCE. Paid for the most expensive service they offer which has them at our pool once a week. This is what our Jacuzzi and fountain looks like after they service, less than an hour after they leave. They simply do a quick motion of pushing a brush on the wall throw some chemicals in and leave. 10 minutes max. I've brought this to their attention and this was the results the week after bringing it to their attention. I requested cancellation today and will find someone local to handle our service. They obviously do not take any pride in their work."
"Great customer service. Above and beyond all they had to do .SAVED MY BUTT AS AN ELECTRICIAN. CASEY IS THE BEST!!!"
