"This was our horrible experience in the 9 days at this facility … untrained staff watching infants (per the owners admission), mixing bottles wrong (per staff admission), trapping infants in high chairs as babysitting devices, illegal teacher/student ratios, owner lying, and diapers not changed. 1 diaper change over 5 hours day 1.Their infant room changing schedule posted on the wall has 6 hours and 15 minutes between diaper changes. They combine classes in the mornings and afternoons. The teacher to student ratio was regularly higher than state standard of 4/1 infant requirements while he was in these other classes. Additionally, we noticed every morning and every evening he and a couple of other kids were ALWAYS in high chairs — when not eating. Multiple staff members utilized high chairs as a standard babysitting device to keep the kids in one spot. Day 9: Dropped off at 8am. First day he hasn’t had breakfast already. She was alone with 6 kids. I offered to stay and feed him myself and she reassured me that she’d do it. As I was walking out, the OWNERS HUSBAND was on the phone (likely with the owner like a lot of mornings). I heard him say they weren’t going to do kids breakfast because they were too busy. He then went into the room my little guy was in and counted the teacher/child ratio. I called my husband and told him I was uncomfortable with what I heard. I came back 2 hours and 20 minutes later to check on him unannounced. His teacher had arrived at 9:30 like normal. I stopped to talk to her and she gave me an update stating “he already had a bottle before I arrived. I know it’s not supposed to be until 10:30 but someone else gave it to him” - I told her it’s ok. We actually like his teacher but she’s the ONLY person we trusted so far based on what we had experienced. When we picked him up at 5pm, he was in another room, in a high chair like always, but this time he was drinking a bottle. His last daycare bottle is supposed to be at 3pm-3:30pm to not spoil his dinner, but our note did say if he needed more it’s ok so I didn’t think much of it at that time. We got home and I noticed only 1 packet of formula was used out of 3 - should always be at least 2 used daily. Additionally, only one bottle was dirty when all other 8 days both were dirty. I called the owner to find out why he was drinking the same bottle from 8:20am (time of first bottle on his log) until 5pm. His bottle is only good for 1 hour after being made. She put his teacher on the phone and she reassured me that he was given a bottle that am prior to her arrival and she gave him his second bottle at 3:40pm. We discussed how that’s not possible b/c only 1/3 of his formula was utilized and only one bottle was dirty. She then put the morning bottle maker on the phone (Crystal maybe - not positive). I asked if she accidentally gave him someone else’s formula and she reassured me she didn’t. That lady explained she only gave him some of the formula powder with “a little bit of water.” - his log says 8oz which would need the full portion of powder. Additionally, they’ve only ever been told to give him full powder/8oz water - no other mixture. I then had to explain to her that you can’t mix formula and water at whatever ratio you want. That’s not feeding the baby the calories they need but only filling them up on water. That also made it to where he didn’t have enough calories in his first feeding when she messed it up AND in his second feeding when his teacher unknowingly poured a partial powder into a full 8oz of water. The owner the called me back and LIED TO ME! She re-explained the bottle story of the wrong powder/water amount. Then stated that girl isn’t trained on infants. Doesn’t know the infants and “only watched them for 30 minutes while his teacher was on a lunch break.” She went on and on about his teacher needing a lunch break and they have to get breaks and it’s only 30 mins — THIS IS NOT TRUE! He had that bottle at 8:20am prior to his teachers arrival at 9:30am and prior to me stopping by at 10:20am."
"My children have been going to Kidz connection for a little over a year now and I absolutely love them. They take the curriculum very serious while having fun and it shows within the children. The place always smells amazing, it’s super clean, and they have the most loving, caring, and amazing staff. It is definitely a place I feel my children are loved and safe. I could not be any happier than I am by making the decision in having my children join this daycare. Thanks for all you do Kidz Connection!"
"So unprofessional for closing when schools are open. What are parents supposed to do when they need to work."
"Both of my boys have gone here. My older one is now 14 and my younger one is 4. I wouldn't go anywhere else, I love everyone there and so does my son. They truly care about the kids. :) "
