"Best free and easy gator experience in FL. Saw 40+ gators driving through the entire loop. Coming from the west the road is very bumpy at the start up until gator head trail, but after that it's smooth. Speed limit only 15mph so takes about an hour to get to the end."
"Just the best free attraction in Florida. True. Everglades, birds gators and much much more. Loved every minute of the 2 hour loop. Stop look and watch . Lots to see . Be quiet and patient"
"Took the Class-C down this road averaging around 5-12mph because the road was a little washboard. We of course made stops along the way to admire the wildlife. Lots of Gators! Use caution and don’t get too close. Keep an eye on your little ones! From East to West the scenic road took a little over an hour. All the cool kids don’t litter! Pack it in, pack it out."
"Well worth doing the drive - beautiful scenery (mixture of cypress swamps, pines, hardwoods, flooded grasslands) and lots of opportunities to see animals. In September, parts of the road are pools of water, and there are potholes. You would probably not want to drive this in a sedan or something with low ground clearance."
