"Lake Okeechobee in general is a beautiful place. It’s a good trail for walking short distances or riding your bike. It’s a flat dirt road that runs all the way around the lake (pretty far, over 100 miles I think). Bugs can be bad in the summer, and this is completely exposed (no shade), so keep that in mind for longer treks and hot weather! Absolutely recommend seeing the lake."
"Beautiful, serene. It IS accessible for those who have mobility issues from certain parts along the southern tip of the lake (Lake Harbor is best compared to John Stretch strictly for mobility). Definitely worth it if you've never been. You can always check online to see what the ACOE might be working on/closed down."
