"A really great place to stay for 30 days for free with an online permit, The weather is warm and I've got 5 bars of T-Mobile it's a little noisy from I 75 about a 1/2 mile away. The place closes up after January 21st for big game hunting. I always stay from December 21st to January 21st it's a great place to weather the winter."
"A typical hunt camp. The highway is nearby if that bothers you, and weekend hunters are active with the swamp buggies going about. But there is excellent bike riding, it is close to any needed amenities, fabulous wildlife, and it is free with a permit and a conservation area pass. There are vault toilets and non- potable water available."
"Great weekend camping trip Great place for a weekend regroup and clear your head No water or electric pack what you need and take what you bring"
"Unexpected drive around this wma. Very dry and dusty today. Some of the gates were closed so had to make a couple of u-turns. Lots of camping are near the front gate/lake."
"One of my favorite places to Safari from my vehicle. Just driving around on fire roads that even a sports car could drive down very peaceful. There is always different wildlife viewing opportunities big and small. It is very flooded down some of the trails that people hunt and fish on so the summer months usually have alot less traffic."
