"We were lucky enough to catch the most spectacular sunset! We kept trying to leave, looking back in awe. It was just gorgeous! There were plenty of birds and alligators enjoying it as well. There is a cafe, food truck, little store, and a boat trip you can take. We were too late for all but definitely will come back. The restrooms are close by and are clean. There is a picnic area and we saw plenty of families enjoying themselves."
"Visited in January 2024, very busy. Beautiful and peaceful, however, was disappointed with the services they advertise, but no longer offer. The website offers tandem bike rentals, but I was told they stopped renting those several years ago. The boat was not in service on a Saturday. If you're interested in using the park services, I highly suggest calling first to make sure it's available. Or visit the Crowley Museum, which is just a few minutes from the North entrance."
"Great place to Kayak. You will see gators everywhere. We went west from the Visitor center launch(south end of the lake) and down the river somewhat past the power line. 4 hours in and out. Water current is slow but wind is a factor. No bug problem. Lots of wildlife. $6 car to get into the park, so worth it!"
"Boat tour was unavailable due to low water levels however the tram tour was and was awesome! Tony, our guide, was knowledgeable about the animals and the history of the park. It was a bumpy ride but the views and wildlife more than made up for it"
"What an awesome park. Lots of hiking trails and wildlife. The gift shop and snack truck are great. The Angus burgers were very good. I would recommend going to this park when in this area."
