"Updated details are needed. The 2 mile drive to a river is closed, no moto vehicles. The ranger retired so it's "better" to close off access instead of funding, that's a shame. No kayaks can be launched less you do the 2 mile walk. The park as a whole is really terrific, clean, and just a pleasant place to spend a day."
"Excellent place to go out and do the various things"
"This place is not closed temporarily due to washed out road. It's been closed a long time and the jungle is taking over the day parking area, and the campground. The run down restrooms looked super scary. It all looked like Jarrassic Park 20 years after the dinosaurs got lose. Perhaps they haven't had funding for this park in years because the signage has moss growing on it. We parked near the gate 2 miles from the parking area and had to walk all the way in. If you want to walk or bike the entire road it's a good nature walk. I would guess about 4 miles round trip."
"The park is closed. Nature took it back. Trails are rooted up by hogs, which wander the grounds. They are many and looked healthy and happy in their new kingdom. If daring to enter, you will become part of the burrs and will spend many days ridding yourself from their presence. Perhaps someday humans will take claim this once beautiful park again. After a nice controlled burn or two."
"The park is in a really *lovely* spot along the river, with facilities and a nice hiking path along the river. It is remote but always seemed safe on my many visits. Worth finding! Photo opportunities. Hours may be limited though. (You do see a few scruffy trailers on the way in, but the park itself is far in and very nice, and I've taken family there many times.)"
