"They had a couple of broken slides, but they also had several slides to choose from that weren't broken as well. So I was happy with it. They have a nice-looking picnic area in the front if you want to host a party. This park seems good for little kids and bigger kids as well. They also have a walking path, so that would be good for dogs. The biggest issue I see is the park seems very popular and the parking is very limited. Overall very nice and will be back."
"The kids had a great time here, lots of choices on the playground plus some large boulders for climbing and a large field/trail behind to run around. Knocking a star for maintenance - at least four spots were boarded up, not sure how long they've been that way since we were just passing through, but someone needs to get on top of those repairs!"
"Wow. I forgot about a park back here. We used to live in the Pickwick apts over 30 years ago. The park has obviously changed over the years but it's nice! They have a small playground for the little ones and a bigger one for older kids. Swings are super long, and there's different levels of rock climbing. The rock area was missing several grip areas or they were loose. Other than that and the humidity at 1130am it was a great stop and also a blast from the past for me. The go round thing looks like it doesn't work but is super smooth and goes super fast! There is even a field for the kids to play and run in that is just behind the playground area."
"Very clean and nice park. Great for picnics with covered cabana, grills and trash cans. Pets are welcome with a water station for them as well. Walking trails with self exercises. Outdoor play for both older and younger kids. I come here often and never seen it too busy.."
"I recently visited the Elizabeth "Betty" Wolfe Park playground inside Pickwick Park, and overall, I had a positive experience. The playground offers a variety of features that cater to different age groups and abilities. One of the highlights of the playground is the rock climbing area. It provides a fun and adventurous activity for children to enjoy. Additionally, there are two separate structures with slides, designed specifically for different age groups and abilities. This ensures that children of all ages can have a safe and enjoyable time. Another notable feature of the park is the walking trail, which includes a specially designed wheelchair Life Trail. This trail is ideal for upper body exercising, strength training, or stretches. It's great to see that the park has taken accessibility into consideration and provides options for individuals with mobility needs. The park also has a couple of pavilions equipped with covered BBQ grills. This is a wonderful addition, as it allows families and friends to have a picnic or barbecue gathering while enjoying the outdoor space. However, it is worth noting that there are no restrooms available, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. Additionally, I found that the drinking fountain was not working during my visit. In terms of the park's location, the small parking area is situated within a residential area. While this might limit the number of parking spaces available, I found it to be safe and well-maintained. Speaking of maintenance, I was impressed with the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the park. It was evident that the staff put in the effort to ensure a pleasant environment for visitors. In conclusion, the Elizabeth "Betty" Wolfe Park playground at Pickwick Park offers a range of features that cater to different age groups and abilities. From rock climbing to slides and a wheelchair-friendly trail, there's something for everyone. While the lack of restrooms and non-functional drinking fountain were minor downsides, the park's cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance made it a worthwhile visit."
