Urfer Family Park

"A great family park. They have 2 different play areas (one for 2-5 yr olds and the other for bigger kids) and a swing area. They also have a pavilion for get togethers with picnic tables. Bathrooms, a book exchange box, different kinds of exercise equipment throughout the whole place, and a beautifully little loop walk. It's dog friendly. The historic house on the property is beautiful and the place is well maintained. The only down side is there is so much traffic very close to play areas."

"Really great park in Sarasota! There’s a sizable playground for the kids, and a relatively short but sweet nature trail. Occasionally you’ll get to see cattle and gopher tortoises as well which is always a pleasant surprise. Urfer is always a good choice if you’re looking for a nice park in the area."

"My son (4yo) loves this park! He's in the in-between stage where he's not really a toddler anymore but he's not quite a big kid and they have two sizes of parks. One is a little park that is in a fenced-in area that is great for little kids because they can't run away from your site and then they have a giant park that is great for older kids! They also have some interesting metal spinny elements. Another great aspect of this park is it's a great place to just walk around It has a paved walking path that's a loop, it has many benches and exercise/stretching spots with instructions."

"Lovely place with a largish playground and lots of nice soft trails to walk. There is a paved exercise trail and a sandy hiking area. Plenty of people out and about, but be aware of homeless campers in the woods and sometimes hanging out in the pavilion."

"They have lots of playground and interesting equipment, walking trails, a historical home of one of the prominent community members/family founders of the area, bathrooms. Kids where not cooperating enough to see everything at the park but would def check it out again if in the area. Recommend bugs spray."
