"We were very excited to have our baby shower here as they have done beautiful work to this facility! Monica was great at communication and giving us tours as well as table sizes ect so we could get the correct decorations. The disappointment to this day came when we showed up at 11 to start decorating and setting up and there was no A/C in the room we had reserved (we were informed of this at the front desk prior to going into the room however they had known since the day prior and did not think to give us a courtesy call / we would have planned differently knowing there was no a/c) As the day continued we were told to keep the lights out as that would help keep the temp lower and that they were working on getting it turned on. By 1pm we still did not have A/C however the staff came in and said it was going to be turned on shortly. We attempted to still host our event as we had people from out of state here to enjoy our day. It never reached a normal temp in the reserved room & their own staff noted that as she would come check on it periodically. We ended up closing down early. Due to it being a weekend we were not able to speak to administrators until Monday when we informed them of the events Macie informed me that the A/C had been noted it was turned on that day at 9am and that’s what they would go by. I asked them to speak with Monica the one staff member who was there in regards to the A/C not working or reaching a normal temp for the entire duration of our event.. the response I received was they had already provided all the info to the higher admin and it would not be questioned further. Extremely disappointing. In my opinion though this is a beautiful facility - rent out a park or something cheaper as paying for a building with A/C that may or may not be on isn’t worth it & it honestly was cooler outside with the breeze then it was in that room."
"Very nice facility. Went to quilt show there."
"The facility was very nice, the staff was very nice, the pickleball players who are regulars here are not. I can only speak of the morning pickleball time. I went there as a single player and visiting from out of town just to get some game time. I am a beginner player and almost all of the others were very very experienced. I liked the fact that the games were held to seven points and they had a truly open rotation, which was helpful for a beginner player because that's the only way I can get into a game. However on multiple occasions the top male players immediately partnered up with each other in order that they could dominate and stay on the court forever. I spent more time waiting in the queue while they played Non-Stop. And when they did play a game they did not let up one single inch. I observed that they only switched among themselves. So after a few rounds of getting smoked 7 to 0 I left in disgust and to avoid further humiliation. I wish I didn't have to leave a one star review because the facility was gorgeous. However since the place includes the word "recreation" I can tell you I had a zero amount of enjoyment and zero amount of recreation. Don't come here if you are a beginner pickleball player. Don't come unless you have someone with patience to work with you or know others who will let up a little so that you can at least get a chance to volley the ball and enjoy the game."
