"Awesome park. Decent amount of shade. Lots of room and various options. Love the music area!"
"It was the 62nd annual Crain Family Reunion. Family from all over the USA. The park was a great place for our family and still had space and availability for other families' events. We had reserved space too"
"Wow! A giant playground for children of all ages. Sandbox, slides, swings, lots of benches, a very large space for games. It is located in a spacious and very beautiful park. There are gazebos that you can reserve. Great place!"
"Freedom Park offers a lot variety for families with few drawbacks. Parking: A lot. There are plenty of handicapped parking spots as this is a playground suited for all ability levels. Once paved spots are taken, it seems to be acceptable to just park in the grass in the lot. Fencing: Partially fenced. There is enough fencing to probably make it *look* like it's fully- fenced to a young child. However, if you've got a runner, know that it's not entirely enclosed. While there is fencing between the closest parking lot and the playground, there is a lot of green space between the surrounding roads and the play space. Bathrooms: Clean and roomy. Both the women's and the family bathroom are big enough for a stroller. Pictures included of women's bathroom; family bathroom is a big larger. No paper towel dispenser or hand dryer. Trash: Plenty of trash cans around. Shade: A+. This will be really helpful in the heat of summer. Combination of trees and large shade canvases over the sand box. There should be at least some shade available at any point of the day. Water: Water fountains available at the back of the playground near pavilions and bathrooms. Flooring: Rubberized flooring under play equipment, concrete, and sand. Safety: So far, so good. It's been nicely populated and I haven't noticed anyone present that wasn't associated with a kid. Something to consider is that if you multiple kids, know that if you are on one side of the playground and a child is on the other, you won't be able to see him/her because the sand box is elevated in the middle of the playground. An ice cream truck often visits."
