"Good idea, a little sad on the inside. Most of the exhibits were made in 2014 and it shows. There's a great opportunity here to showcase St Petersburg's history and it falls a little flat. It could do with some more reoccurring shows/talks/things to do. Right now it's mostly plaques on the wall. All in all, it's a cookie cutter small history museum with a general lack of character or flair. The mummy is truly harrowing and will be in my nightmares for days to come."
"I love culture, history, and knowledge of the past. The employee that was on site the day of my visit was very welcoming. I have recommended the museum to others in conversation but also on my social media pages."
"Very good museum featuring 5000 signed baseballs by athletes and celebrities. There is also a exhibit on the civil rights movement as well as historic artifacts including an the contents of an old drug store."
"Cute little museum. Good way to spend an hour or so learning more about the area. It is near the shore side of the pier so not a long walk out to it, or you could ride the shuttle up to it. If driving you would have to find a lot or street spot & then walk out to it. Variety of exhibits on the pier/parks of the area, history of civil rights in the area, aviation history and a baseball collection. We found the history of the area and the changes over the years very interesting. We also found out about the augusta bricks we kept seeing around town. I did think that the $15 admission was a bit steep for all the bigger the museum was."
"The museum feels pretty empty, but they do have some interesting exhibits about the history of St. Pete and its docks. We were able to get special pricing for just $6 a person. That seems to be about the right value for what they have. They also have a large collection of signed baseballs so if you're into baseball, you'll like it here."
