American Thrift Store in West Palm 4344 Okeechobee Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33409

"Lots of counterfeit ( and they sell some very obvious overpriced fakes and some not so obvious) and very flawed merchandise — better check out anything you purchase here because there are no returns. Whoever is pricing their inventory is clueless — they had a Nirvana t shirt that was made like yesterday in Bangladesh marked at $75 — which may have been more appropriate for a vintage Nirvana tee but this was at best a 20 dollar shirt if it was brand new easily purchased at Target or Walmart. I used to like this place to find occasional vintage goodies but whomever is pricing has lost their mind and it’s cheaper and more efficient to buy online now from a marketplace that allows returns. I Used to be able purchase a cart full of goodies now I mostly leave empty handed. :("

"I have been shopping here for a couple of years. I’ve found some really quality items here. My only issue is that sometimes the staff is rude. I usually overlook it. The helpful staff make up for the rude ones. Recently I asked a staff member what the sale colors were in Spanish. She barely looked at me and mumbled something and walked away. Right after that I asked another staff member who was helpful. It was closing time and the rude staff member yelled in English at my family member “Hey lady we’re closing. Go to the front!” We were in line and my family member went back to get a shirt and the rude staff member yelled “GO!!” My family member didn’t respond because she was trying to remain calm. We checked out (purchased multiple items) and the cashier was polite. My family member was visiting from out of town and was very upset by the brazen disrespect of the rude staff member. That kind of behavior was uncalled for. It makes me want to shop elsewhere. . ."

"These people are litterally racist I spend thousands of dollars in the store and I never bother anyone I always stay to myself. One time they told me I couldn’t bring my bag that I had because I was walking that day even tho there was clearly several people who had one literally walk in with me , one time I was literally looking at an item in the front and trying to determine if I wanted it and the lady started yelling at me about the line for 10 minutes even though I told her several times I was not in line . Then this last time I was told I had to leave because I had a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee even tho I saw several people with there own drink like it’s a thrift store not Gucci dude . And at this point it’s always the same lady with red hair who always sais something to me even tho I always have my headphones in I’m a quiet person and I have spent literally thousands here. It’s because of the way I look and she judges me even tho all I’ve ever done is come spend money and never bother anyone"

"This is literally the best thrift store I have ever been to. They have real brands just on the rack you don't have to go behind a glass case. The big store! The atmosphere is fun! The jewelry is goddy!"

"Sometimes you find find some good things, but the rudeness of the staff is absolutely insane. Was literally shoulder checked by one of the employees pushing past me from behind without even saying a word. Was run over by a clothing rack by another employee about 5 minutes later. Absolutely atrocious and does not make shopping here worth it."
