His first hand experience of history, along with the knowledge passed on to him by his mother, is the same story of history I read, heard about, and studied about growing up. It was refreshing to here someone speak the truth about the Confederacy and that time period in history. I hope and pray these monuments are preserved in order for society as a whole to remember and search out the whole truth about those whom these monuments are there to remind us about.
