"We have adopted two dogs from Annette and consider myself extremely lucky to have found her among all the German shepherd dog breeders out there. She is knowledgeable, professional, responsible, and extraordinarily intelligent. Even though she has been in the business for 40+ years, she is continually learning about ways to improve her dogs’ lives and will gladly talk with you about natural remedies or other alternatives to standard practices (such flea and tick medication) if you are interested. Each time I contacted Annette over the past 8+ years, she replied within the same day (if she wasn’t able to answer immediately) and was always happy to help. She has never conveyed the attitude that she had better things to do or that I was annoying her with useless questions. Quite the opposite – as she has always seemed genuinely happy to talk with me. When we got our first dog from her in 2014, she was extremely helpful in giving me tips on how to help my puppy adjust to his new home. When I contacted her in 2021 about getting a second dog, she remembered me, my dog, and off the top her of head listed the how some of litters that were coming due were related to our first dog…I could not believe the detail she immediately recalled – and I could tell she was outside and didn’t sneak a glimpse of my dog’s lineage on her computer. Both dogs that we got from her exhibit what I am calling ‘The Appleridge Attitude’ – intelligent, fun, respectful, ridiculously easy to train, spirited, curious, brave, protective, comical, and loving."

"I contacted Annette initially just to educate myself on the German Shepherd Dog before adding one to my home. I told Annette up front that I was looking at breeders closer to me, but that I just wanted to hear what she had to say about the breed and if this would be a good fit for me. "I got Harley from Appleridge in August of 2020. Offspring of Essence and Vegas. He is now 110lbs! I filled out a questionnaire and was approved for adoption. I even spoke with Mrs. Annette Miller about a puppy and her business by phone for literally over an hour!! Always polite, professional, confident, and informational. I’m very pleased that you have to go through this questionnaire and other papers and that they don’t just give everyone who fills out one a puppy. He even came home with starter supplies and a leash and a couple toys to make his big move easier. Harley is now one year old and continues to be the best dog with the best temperament, personality, and loving/gentle heart. Not to mention that this boy is such a beautiful dog!!! Annette has kept in contact with me via text long after Harley went home with me which I love because I can ask questions if I have any concerns with my boy. Highly recommend this breeder, you will not be disappointed!"

"My dog Autobahn is a beautiful dog except for the fact she had the tip of her ear bitten off by her mother River at birth. That's okay except someone at Appleridge trimmed her other ear to make it look less obvious. As a puppy it looked okay but as she is now 10 months old its very obvious that her other perfect ear was trimmed. The scar tissue looks awful and my vet has confirmed this was indeed done. This was not disclosed to us at purchase. Full purchase price. I think it was inhumane to trim a perfectly good ear and how was it done? Scissors? Who knows since it was never disclosed. The dog is perfect and I love her. I will say as a puppy she was always standoffish and liked to be alone. After being in our loving home and continually bonding with her she eventually began trusting us and has become a loyal loving dog. To the owner....what did you do to my dog?"

"After meeting Annette and the rest of her family I knew there was no other place I will be buying future puppies from. Her dogs are the most intellectual dogs I have ever encountered. They are all well groomed and taken care of to the highest level. I bought my first pup from her around 3 years ago. She is always at my hip and never has disobeyed a command. I wanted another pup so here recently I decided to by another and he is wonderful! Anyone that has asked me where to buy a puppy from I have recommended Appleridge.
