"Brought in my work boots to be resoled. Originally I was looking to put a Vibram full lug on but Tony informed me that it would have been heavier and not good for working in muddy areas. He then recommended another Vibram sole that he said would fit my needs better. A few days later I got my boots back and I couldn’t be happier. Not only does the new sole work better in the mud but it also looks a lot better now that there’s a heel on the boot, vs a wedge sole. Woody’s offers true artisan craftsmanship and I will definitely be going back for all my shoe repairs. Hate to edit a good review but the soles recommended by Woody only lasted me about 3-4 months before they were worn down. When I brought them back and asked why they wore down so fast he shrugged his shoulders and remarked “Well you wear them everyday.” Of course I wear them everyday they’re my work boots as explained! Anyways I told him to put on the soles I had originally wanted on, and he also told me I needed a new midsole. I found hard to believe I really needed new midsoles because the boots were less than a year old, unless they damaged my midsoles the last time I went for a resole. And after putting on the new midsoles the boots never felt the same on my right foot. I also dropped off a pair of men’s shoes (at the same I dropped off the boots) that just needed stitching up and even after a month of them being there they didn’t even finish them. After being there for 3 weeks I went to pick them up and they weren’t even started yet and the lady told me to come back Wednesday and they would be ready. Well I ended up going to pick them up on a Saturday and they had barely even touched them. Woody told me he could get them done and told me to give him one and a half hours and he would be done. I was already so upset I just took my unfinished shoes and left. He also told me before I left that he doesn’t do the kind of stitch I needed for the shoes. I don’t get, does it take an hour and a half to stitch or do you not do it at all? Bad business practice I would just go somewhere else even if you have to drive out of your way. I wouldn’t even bring a belt over there."

"I have gone to Woody’s for years. Always great service! Also honest. I had a pair of ripped sandals that would have cost more to repair than the sandals were worth and they let me know that up front."

"This guy completely RUINED my belts! He charged me $45 per belt- I brought in 4 belts to be shortened. He made them way too small… to fix them, he reattached the straps he had cut off. They look AWFUL!!!!! He never told me they were finished, I had to reach out to him 3 times; and when I came in to pick them up he didn’t even look at me, let alone say hello or apologize for his mistake! He’s a crook!"
