"We rented unit 5 (Seashell), the location is great, close to the beach and stores. The apartment/cottage is in need of a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint. It all seems clean on the first look, but when taking a closer look you find dust on pretty much everything (baseboards, shutters, ceiling fan, etc). The walls are full of marks and scuffs. I have noticed that prior to my reservation and send an email out (mid July) asking how recent the 3D walk through is and if these marks and scuffs are still on the wall. Teri responded saying that there are indeed scuffs and marks on the wall and they have reached out to the owner to get approval for new painting. Obviously this was never done until we arrived end of September. The couch was very filthy and not the one on the pictures (white). We used the comforter from the bed to cover the couch but still never ended up using it, because it all still felt so dirty. We didn’t feel the need to reach out the AMI Locals to complain about the cleanliness, because we didn’t want to be bothered with strangers in the unit while we are out and also don’t believe that they would have cleaned to our satisfaction anyway. Also it can be expected that the unit receives a deep clean every now and then, without guests having to notify the property management. On our last day we wanted to go for a walk before check out at 10 am. When trying to lock the door with the code it wouldn’t lock, we tried several times. I guess they change the code on the day of departure already, which doesn’t seem correct because check out is not until 10 am. So you are stuck at the place without the chance to go out again unless you want to leave the door unlocked. Very frustrating! I have informed AMI Locals via email and also told them that I wouldn’t be able to lock the door on check out. I have never received a response on this issue. Since I’m not local I wasn’t able to send them a text message regarding this issue. Overall it was an ok unit, but I wouldn’t book with this agency again. I have also seen all the bad reviews of all kinds of properties run by them on the BBB website, unfortunately this was after i had booked already, otherwise i would have searched for a different rental place."

"A great value for an AMI vacation! We stayed in Villa #4 - clean and nicely decorated. There were only 2 of us, so the fact that there are only 3 plates and utensils for only a few people didn't affect us that much. There is a dishwasher, but there really aren't enough dishes and silverware to fill it! The pool area is lovely, but the pool isn't designed to filter out all of the debris dropping from the trees. We requested a pool skimmer so we could clean the pool ourselves, but it was never delivered. We ended up spending the majority of our time at the beach anyway - it's a short walk away and beautiful! A broom and dust pan would be helpful to keep the sand at bay since there is no outside faucet to clean off your feet when returning from the beach. We'd recommend this unit and will likely return based on its location, pleasant accommodations, and value."

"What an amazing experience! The AMI group set us up with this rental, perfect for a couple looking for some time away! Perfect communication, outstanding facilities, highly recommended. Anna Maria Island and Holmes Beach are a win!"

"The location is excellent, you walk about a block to the beach. It has a nice heated pool. The place is small so if you're a family of 4 or 5 this would not work for you but 1 or 2 people it works out well. There is no storage So you live out of your suitcase and if you were here for 2 weeks like us you end up having piles of stuff sitting around. But I love it anyways, things that we did not have and I called AMI VACATIONS they got the items right away for us in a timely manner. I do love that it has an alarm on back door if you have kids And they want to sneak out to the pool. We would definitely come back. It's a cute little cottage/cabin."

"We only stayed here for one night. The location is excellent. Short 5 min walk to the beach. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Close to shops and restaurants. The inside is very nice as well. The only thing I was shocked about was the paint job. After all of the attention to detail for everything else they really dropped the ball on this. As you can see in the pictures there’s a different color paint for the walls versus cutting in. Also the walls are so scuffed and dirty and it appears they cannot be cleaned easily. It would also be nice to have doormats to wipe the sand off your feet either outside or just inside the doors. We had to put towels down on the floor for this. We would definitely stay here again but I would suggest repainting the interior of the unit."
