"Great selection! The store was beautiful visually can’t lie. But I unfortunately had one of the worst retail service experiences here. No one said a word when I came in not during being there with my friend/coworker. When spoken to my coworker was sitting trying on multiple shoes I had a pair of shoes I was walking in trying on with 2 other sizes (you know just in case they’re too big or small). Mind you all of their shoe boxes were like brand new just got off the truck and put onto the floor so, stuffed with styrofoam, cardboard liners, and placed in plastic and tissue paper! I had to take these off and out to try on of course no big deal but when approached by associate all I heard was “Is this your mess?” I had no words other than “I’m sorry so this not a shoe store where you try on shoes…” During this time too I had asked another associate (assumed to be a manager on duty) if they accepted applepay/tap pay where she seemed bothered I asked, repeatedly asked me what I was asking about but then answered yes they do. My friend/coworker was baffled tried on 6+ shoes decided on none due to experience. I rather wanted the boots I tried on, they had a good deal BOGO! I get up to the checkout, another associate with attitude tells me you have to purchase 3 to spin the wheel (I asked if I could spin) and I confirmed they do military discount. I use my apple pay/ tap pay and the machine rejects it (not declines). The associate and I quote says, “We don’t accept apple pay or card or tap pay.” I responded with “The lady told me right there you do and your screen displays appleplay/tap pay accepted right here..” She responds with “Well we accept tap pay and that just not the apple pay card you’re paying with but we take apple pay…..” I kid you not I was BAFFLED, LOST FOR WORDS, SO CONFUSED & OVER IT BY HOW SHE JUST RESPONDED. I tried a different card on my tap pay and a complete blank screen came up then she says that didn’t work and I responded with well then I don’t want them anymore and walked out! This was pitiful every employee acted as if it was 5 mins before closing (I came in before 7:30), no one spoke to customers, when spoken to… STRAIGHT ATTITUDE & MINIMAL SOCIAL/PEOPLE SKILLS. But the audacity to approach a customer and ask “Is this your mess?” and get loud with them…NO THANK YOU. I WILL NOT return to this Shoe Carnvial (less than 7 mins from my home) I will hope for a better experience at another location sometime soon then what I did and I hope customers will receive either exactly what I did and not return or get exceptional service and/or way better experience than me and my friend/coworker."

I’m also impressed that after visiting three other name, brand or national brand shoe store, but this is the only place I could find the employee actually knew how to properly measure a child foot or shoe size. I can’t believe that this basic skill is being lost to the new generation. Thank you Chicago for making sure that you’re employees know how to do this!"
