Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard

"The hotel is currently under renovation. The first morning we were there we were woke by someone jackhammering on the room above us at 8am! Then the fire alarm went off. Everyone was in the lobby but nobody from the hotel, a manager was there to explain. The firefighters showed up and yelled at us to leave the building, as they should. After an hour we were let back in, no fire alarm was just tripped. Then we were moved to the the 4th floor, which was nice and renovated until the fire alarm went off at 12am!!!! Again, outside for an hour, fire trucks. Again, no manger or front desk person around to explain anything. The next morning they were suppose to give a us free coffee for the inconvenience, which was nice. When I went to check out I noticed an extra $10 charge on my bill. They told me I bought ice cream?? What?? Not true,I didnt buy anything at the hotel. I would stay away from this hotel until renovations are done. Not to mention the workers doing the renovations were not nice people... but that a whole other story: just stay away. . ."

"My room was great and it was very spacious. The beds were very nice and it was a relaxing stay. The amenities were enjoyable. I played basketball and also swam by the pool. I thought the location was convenient because it was right by Disneyland and there were a lot of food places. They had good service too. When I got home I discovered that my family and I had Bed Bugs. I went to the pharmacy because it was so red and the bites were everywhere. I called the staff to tell them about my room and they brushed it off. They didn’t really care about the news. It was really disappointing because I really enjoyed this hotel and I have stayed at Marriot Inns before. I would suggest not to stay here unless there is a deep cleaning of your room. I have never encountered Bed Bugs at a hotel since this stay. I would seriously rethink your upcoming stay, unless you want bed bugs."

"DO NOT STAY HERE WHILE THEY ARE REMODELING! You'll never be able yo use the elevator. The banging sounds started at 8am. The workers are VERY rude. Front desk clerk made me stand in the pouring rain to smoke a cigarette! All and all, horrible experience. Wouldn't recommend."

"Nice location off Grand blvd. 2 very nice dinand entertainment areas close by with great dining options. Staff was attentive. Bar was nice and property well maintained. We had a few small issues which were attended to ASAP. They have Gluten-free options however the fryer is a shared fryer so most will not be safe."

"The Courtyard has an exceptionally professional and considerate staff and management. We had booked through Airbnb and they had ALL our information wrong! The managers at Courtyard were patient and needed to do an extensive search to locate our information. They corrected our information and even offered an upgrade due to our struggles. Everything from the proximity to shopping and dining as well as the beach made for easy trips out daily. The Starbucks and the Bistro in the lobby were convenient and staffed by pleasant and professional employees that went the extra mile with any requests we had. The room was clean and comfortable with all amenities needed for our stay. A 10 out of 10! We will be back."
