"I do not like this doctors office. It was a major inconvenience as a now former patient to get any of my prescription medications refilled because they require I come in for an appointment EACH TIME, instead of just approving the pharmacies request to refill my prescription medications. Additionally they constantly are changing the doctors so you might like the one you have now but then that doctor suddenly no longer works there the next time you come in."
"I am very pleased to have found an office that cares for my needs. I recently went through a very traumatic experience and I was assisted beyond my expectations with the staff. The front desk was super charismatic and the nurses all made me feel welcomed. I needed to schedule an appointment with an OB-GYN fast and the office manager went above and beyond to get me an appointment with Dr. Tallman upstairs. Thank you MedFlorida!"
"It’s all downhill now as of 5/1/23…I originally came to medFlorida, because the office where I used to go dropped patients to be an exclusive office for Medicare. Since Medflorida Aventura was near I decided to give them a try. I was first seen by Dr. Paola Cintron Villa from the beginning. She treated me very professionally with Care and Provided as far as my medication needs. Recently, she took a leave and MedFlorida brought in a doctor by the name of Maria Garcia, which on my initial visit. I just needed to change one medication which my doctor insurance covers. Dr. Garcia has refused to help me with this medication, even though I qualify, additionally, she wanted to do a whole bunch of Tests , because I just mention that at one time about 15 years ago I had to use the asthma pump. To make a long story short, she never sent me the referral for the pulmonologist that she insisted I needed to see. She did not get me a referral for a nutritionist, but she said I need it and she never got me the medication that I requested her to change me from the current medication. My insurance gave me a medication list that they covered which I shared with Dr. Garcia but she ignored me. They have a nurse practitioner as The back by the name of Navarretti. He is the most unpersonable and rude medical practitioner I have met. The first time I met him because of course my primary is on leave before Dr. Garcia was in, he had to take my appointment he came in with one arm, holding a laptop, dragging his feet with an attitude of “I wish I didn’t have to be here” type of attitude. He hardly spoke to me close the door and left that was my appointment. As he was leaving, I asked what does the results of my lab he said it means it’s inconclusive, and then he left. he did not even offer for retesting me. Under my own decision, I went outside to a private physician where they took my labs. They gave me the results and prescribed antibiotics for me, which took care of my problem. I told his story to Dr. Paola, Cintron, Villa, and she could not believe what I went through. Definitely it’s time to leave. These employees are playing with peoples health."
"I've gone through many different providers and had not been able to find one that really listened to my needs. I was usually in and out and felt like I was heard. I found Dr Cintron and I do not regret changing to her. She's very attentive and listens to everything you have to say. The staff is quite wonderful and know what they are doing. Appointments can take a bit but believe that it's worth the wait."
"My father and I visited this office today and someone dropped the ball with the referral for the cardiologist. We had seen the PCP Dr. Paola Cintron yesterday virtually and she said she will have the referral ready for my father to see his cardiologist for the following day (today). We have waited months for this visit to only have the office of Dr. Paola Cintron at MedFlorida medical center not have the referral ready. We spoke to the referral coordinator and she said my dad needs to have an x-ray and and EKG to get the referral... she also said “the cardiologist might not have an X-ray or ekg so we can do it here”.. I am not buying this...how could a cardiologist not have an ekg or X-ray capabilities I said...we are so confused and cannot believe that our long do specialist appointment is in jeopardy. Please MedFlorida, make some changes ASAP!!!"
