"This office is abominable! The office had had my CT scan results since last week. It was a repeat due a prior issue. I have called and left messages 6 times. A woman called once on Tuesday and said the doctor would call with results. I have heard 0 from Dr. Loutfi. What if something’s wrong? They are inconsiderate and have no regard for their patients. Needless to say, I will be finding a new pulmonologist"
"My mother is on Medicare and Medicaid due to severe health costs. The front office charged her the $35 copay two times even though it was not due them, as she had reached her out of pocket maximum. I spent 15 years at the largest insurance agency and I know the rules. They refused to listen and said she couldn’t see the doctor unless she paid it upfront. She is very sick, died and relived several times due to breathing issues. This felt like a ransom we had to pay to ensure she received access to care. I called their billing dept and the billing dept was not aware the front office charged her the copay’s and agreed that they should not have. Called the insurance company and they agreed as well. Office manager doesn’t return phone calls. After many phone calls to the insurance company and billing company they said they will refund her the full $70. The office staff should be ashamed of themselves. Sad because the doctor came recommended. Stay away they are mean."
"So despite the iffy reviews given, my mom did like Dr. Breit when he checked in with her while she was hospitalized. That being said and although he was booked through June and she wouldn’t be able to see him until July, we booked an appt to see the nurse practitioner. During the appointment making conversation, I do have to say, I was not confident because at first yes, I can make an appt with the nurse practitioner. then no, I can’t, and then yes I’m sorry, you can. Then we come to the appt only to be told that actually my mom’s insurance is NOT taken. Wtah? Why would they make and confirm an appt have us show up for an appt to turn us away. It’s okay to not take my mom’s insurance but it’s not okay to make this big of a mistake when you are dealing with someone’s health. Dr. Breit delivered the life-changing news that my mom had stage 4 lung cancer. He did it the best he could and he was great and no, he’s not the oncologist but she still needed to follow up with a pulmonologist. This is my mom’s first time being sick. She’s always been healthy and spry. Every patient should be treated with respect and dignity. DO NOT MAKE APPOINTMENTS WITH PATIENTS WITH WHOM YOU DON’T ACCEPT INSURANCE FROM. This was easily avoidable and instead you made my mom feel unwanted and rejected and took her back to when my dad had cancer and his insurance was not taken. I BEG THE DOCTORS TO READ THIS REVIEW AND PLEASE DO BETTER BY JUST MAKING SURE YOUR APPOINTMENT MAKERS VERIFY INSURANCE."
"I’d like to ask the patients before me that wrote ugly reviews, “How kind are you when you arrive for your appointment”? Have you stopped and asked yourself if this is a job you could do? Day in and day out this office opens and runs smoother than most. Perhaps a kind word on your part would go a long way. The girls at the front deal with every phone call and every appointment, plus they are responsible for collecting that payment you don’t want to pay. Michelle has three children at home and works this full-time job! That is not easy. Before you write something not nice, take a breath and give it more thought. Dr.Palumbo is one of the finest, kindest, caring and intelligent Doctors EVER! You nay sayers are going to push the Greatest Doctors away! Each ugly review you write affects these good people. Please think before you spew your own unhappiness."
"Dr. Loxy was excellent, however, the Billing department and reception are terrible. I was charged the co-pay twice, after receiving several invoices saying that my insurance didn't cover it. I had already let them know that they had an incorrect number for my insurance. Once it was covered by my insurance, they sent me another bill for the co-pay, which I had already paid the day of the visit. When I made the complaint, they said they would look into it, but did not know when it would be taken care of. It could take over a month. Also, I was originally told that there would be someone at 8:30am on Monday morning for me to drop off the machine. There were several people waiting and the staff only opened at 8:50am, when many of us complained that we had to go to work."
