"My family and I have been with Dr Hays for years. After he sold or merged with Conviva and had them take over management it went from great to terrible. You WILL NOT get calls back for messages you leave, nobody will answer the phone at the front desk. Do yourself a favor and find a new primary before you get sick and have to rely on an office that won't help. It's a shame the front desk staff is so poor because the doctor I normally see, Andrew, is very good."
"Stay away from this doctor's office I was a patient of Dr Hays for over 30 years, this office is clearly broken now. The phone system is a joke, most of the time you can't get through, if you leave a message no one calls you back. I left several messages about a refill for my heart medication and the pharmacist did as well with no reply. So I had to call my cardiologist and have him call in my medication. If you get sick, well your on your own. I called the other day kept getting a phone disconnected message, there was no doctor on call. I will ddefinitely be finding a new primary doctor now."
"The communication for this office went from bad to the worst after changing its name to Conviva. if you call a 100x you might get phone answered 5x maybe if you are lucky. You leave messages that are supposed to be returned in 24 hrs according to the recording but I have waited as long as a week & a half before a return phone call. With all the technology these days you would think that would make communicating with your patients easier & more efficient but it seems to do the opposite for this office. I have been to office approx 4 of 5 x and have never seen or met my Dr. Richard hays. Once you actually get an appointment and make it into the office the care is pretty good. Honestly it is the phone system & lack of communication in a timely manner that makes me give this doctor office 1 star.. I can't in good faith recommend them, the lack of un importance I feel leaves me wanting.. I am changing PCP ASAP!"
"My wife has desperately been trying to reach this office since her last checkup to refill her migraine prescription and as countless others have said, the staff never answers the phone, then the calls forward to a voicemail for a different company which calls you back and has no idea what you're talking about....only a matter of time before everyone switches to a primary care provider that isn't terrible. Totally unprofessional. One of the front desk women told a patient "your insurance just sucks." Do yourself a favor and steer way away from this place. I've been a patient for 20 years, and after this nonsense you can consider them fired effective immediately."
"HORRIBLE experience with Richard Hays . I was under the care of a psychiatrist but could no longer afford one so cane to Richard Hays I called the staff serval times to see if they would fill the prescription I would need they confirmed three times they would . I go in pay them 100.00 of my hard earned money met with the doctors and they wrote the prescription it's now been five days and they have yet to call me back to send to pharmacy . Finally the doctor calls me back and tells me in fact they cannot fill this certain one . After wasting countless hours and money. Meanwhile I've been 5 days without my meds and it's the weekend I'm very upset and will be in touch with my lawyer about this because doctors take an oath to do no harm . This falls under the category of medical mal practice . I will be filing a law suit and I encourage anyone who has had the same encounter to join me"
