"My girlfriend has been taking her pet here for almost 3 years. In this whole time we have witnessed the dowhill fall of this hospital. From the time the newest leadership from the corporation took over they have lost almost 8 technicians and have left the hospital understaffed. The doctors try their best but do not have the tools to meet the required pet numbers they see. I have witnessed some of the best techs this place had leave in the past year and as a result the doctors have inept brand new staff that don’t know how to do basic tasks or how to talk to clients. I was never informed about heart worm prevention by the girl with short hair and now my pet is heartworms positive. Completely run as a factory mill rather than a hospital- Banfield is a mile away from providing quality care medicine. This goes from the top too. One of the technicians I spoke with told me all about her field directors adding pressure to steal money from clients by pushing on unnecessary ear swabs and blood tests to cover themselves from the mass money loss. They have rescheduled my girlfriends dogs appointments many times due to short staff issues and now I hear that they won’t do dentals on Saturdays anymore. The corporation keeps demanding for results without paying up some more for better staff intead they hire high schoolers to do the job probably cause they pay them so little. Imagine your family member going under surgery with the care of a high schooler. Awful. My girlfriend and I will never come back to this place and you should stay away too. This corporation is going broke because it will not take care of its staff, clients and patients. All they care about is stuffing the CEO’s and corporate leaders pockets with bonuses for their yachts. Ask any employee working there if you don’t believe me- I overheard them while waiting in an exam room. No one working there is happy."
"Opens at 7 am. We have insurance and travel quite a bit. So one is always close. We can drop in at all of them and get medicine or aid."
"Updated Review 4 stars (2 months later) - Our pups neutering surgery went well. Originally I was told he would have a follow up appointment 3 days after the surgery. Then I was told, because of shortage of staff, he would be seen in two weeks unless something happened and he needed to be seen sooner. 3 days after surgery we realized our pup licked off his outer stitches. After trying and not being able to get a hold of this location, we connected with the fort myers location who saw him ASAP. We were informed he was given a cone too small. And they changed it for a larger one. Thankfully, he did not need surgery again and it didn’t set him back in his recovery process. First Review 5 stars - I purchased the puppy monthly membership. We have gone 2x for a vet visit. The first time my spouse went and he had no complains. The second time I got to take our pup. I actually showed up a week early (my fault) and they were able to get me in! I was surprised and thankful because I had taken hours off work to do this. The vet tech was wonderful. She answered all my questions and remembered our pup ✨ that’s pretty amazing. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful."
"I have been their customer for over 2 years and I love it. Wellness check up for my pup."
"The Dr and tech were good but everyone needs to realize this is NOT a full service vet. If your dog has a health issue, go to a vet hospital. Banfield is only good for shots and health maintenance issues. They do not do surgery or diagnostics on sight. Lab work is sent out. So if you need routine care, they are great. We spent over $800 and did NOT get any diagnosis. We had to go to another vet. I am currently trying to get a full refund. My pet passed away this morning at 20 months old. They never issued a refund. Stay away from this vet hospital if your dog has health issues. Go to Viscaya Vets, they are awesome!!"
