"I am so disappointed. I've been TAKING ALL 3 of our dogs there for years and lately they just plain stink. We asked them yo trim our oldest dogs nails, we'd gladly pay you....they cut just 2 very long ones.??? They also refused to give our VERY sick dog of 11years antibiotics for a known uti. They did the test. Because we couldn't afford to have additional tests performed on her totally over $500. Our baby is sick she needs help! We can do one at a time but they refused and sent a VERY sick dog away. SHAME ON YOU....MONEY IS ALL YOU CARE ABOUT NOT OUR BELIVED PETS!!! YOU STINK!!!"
"My cat was diagnosed with diabetes and my partner and I are appalled with how it was handled from start to finish. We were given bare minimum information on how to administer insulin, no clue what kind of treatment plan we were to anticipate, and zero education on the disease and what to expect. We were offered 2 options for insulin, obviously choosing the one that wasn’t $300+. She responded well at first but then plateaued, and then began to digress severely. Worried she was dying, we dropped her off at the clinic for the day to monitor her blood sugar and when I picked her up, the vet told me to collect a urine sample at home to check for a UTI and told me we were likely going to have to switch her to the $300+ insulin. Why they didn’t collect a urine sample while they had her for the day I will never be able to understand, and I was shocked by the total lack of personality, care, bedside manner, and empathy from the tech and vet. We took her to Partridge Animal Hospital for a second opinion and we are BLOWN AWAY by the night and day difference in care. The new experience truly made me realize how dismissive and sometimes downright rude almost everyone at Baycrest was. Partridge spent almost 2 hours with us educating us on the disease and how to treat and monitor it. Not only that, but offered several different affordable insulin options, and then come to find out, the one Baycrest started us on was one of the ones Partridge recommends the least. There is one tech at Baycrest I wish I could remember the name of, because she genuinely was a delight and truly wanted to give us any information she could in the short time we had with her because she has a diabetic cat at home, bless her she is a saint."
"I didn't take proper photos of this place because I wasn't there with a clear mind. That said, the staff here is excellent. They took care of my pup on back to back issues and not only handled him with excellent care, but kept me informed and calmed my fears in a professional and loving way. I am very happy I found this place and was blown away at the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff."
"We ended up at this Vet due to our dog having complications with his breathing and vomiting. We went into the office and advised the our dog can’t breathe and our dog needs help…. While the Vets Dad who works the front office just stood there taking his time to get up to get some help, our dog struggling to breathe… finally someone came out to get our dog. They said he was overheated and was stable at one point then came out and said that they did what they could and he passed due to a heat stroke. I would like to think that he was in good hands with the Vet, however the time it took to get him back was critical and the Vets Dad took his sweet time to get our dog the help he needed. I honestly don’t recommend this Vet to anyone especially if your animal is in distress. I hope and pray no one has to experience what we went through with this office."
"So grateful to have found this place. Previously went to VCA who turns out was commercialized and bought by M&M’s. Makes sense considering the decrease in care and the increase in price. I was informed Baycrest is one of the only independent animal hospitals in the area. Everyone who works there is so nice and they took such great care of my cat. My sweet girl is almost 12 and had a pretty big growth by her tail. They set up her appointment and surgery very quickly for us. Never been put under or had a procedure done so I was very worried but they reassured me. She did so well and they took amazing care of her. Her stitches and incision spot look very clean and she’s comfortable even though she’s healing because of the meds and the care they took with her. I will definitely be going to them forever (or as long as I live in Florida!) Thank you everyone at Baycrest."
