"Very unprofessional office, They called to schedule an appointment for my mother, we drove over 90 minutes to get to the office, my mom can barely walk due to cancer, just so we could arrive and be told she needed a referral. Typically this practices is done by the office BEFORE scheduling an appointment. We will not be back highly disappointed. No apologies and a sorry unvaild excuse. Avoid at all cost."
"This place is good if you don't have an concerns or anything !!!!!!! They fail to do appointment reminders which has caused me to drive over an hour twice this month because the doctor refuses to stay a little later. My appointment was on my calendar for 230 and they say it was 1230 same thing they did 2 weeks ago..when they do send appointment reminders it's a month before the appointment they also don't send labs electronically and they want you to do labs 1 week before your appointment that's 3 months away.. they don't listen to their patients and they assume patients are lying about symptoms. I had to jump through hoops just to get in this place after a referral was sent over stating why I needed to come but because my diagnosis was over 18 years old they wanted me to redo all my labs before they would make an appointment meantime I was getting sicker and sicker by the day to the point my primary care almost hospitalized me. I don't recommend this place to anybody new to infectious disease do your homework and find doctors that truly care about what you're going through and how you feel and your concerns cuz this place isn't it"
"I’m sharing my horrific experience with Florida Infectious Disease Specialists Inc., who have refused to allow me to schedule an appointment TWICE, even though I had valid referrals direct from my Primary Care Physician to this specific office. I was initially referred due to a abnormally persistent case of infectious viral warts that was so severe that it obliterated my quality of life and forced me to return to working from home. I had to quit my other job when they initially refused to see me, because their refusal forced me to jump through hoops to find another specialist while my symptoms worsened and risked infecting others. My other specialist and I discovered that my symptoms are suppressed with antiviral medication- after EVERY, and I mean EVERY, bar none, standard of treatment for my condition failed prior to beginning my medication. That Doctor listened to me, reviewed medical studies citing the effectiveness of this treatment, and gave my quality of life back. When my prescription ran out I asked my PCP to refill it, but he insisted I go back to the specialist before he could authorize it. I asked him to refer me back to my awesome specialist, but this time, for whatever reason, he made my referral out for a doctor at Florida Infectious Disease Specialists Inc. That’s where this round of horrible treatment began. I called the morning of 8/4/23 to make an appointment with my referral that clearly stated my diagnosis. Regardless, they asked me what my condition was, as if the diagnosis wasn’t listed right there on the referral. When I explained my condition, they still wouldn’t schedule me. They insisted they needed tests, but refused to specify which tests or documents they needed! I sat there rummaging through my medical paperwork while a panic attack set in, trying to explain to these people that I don’t understand what they need. There is no standard “test” for the virus I have- there is a visual confirmation of a lesion, and ONLY if the visual assessment is uncertain, a biopsy that confirms a verruca. Here’s the problem: Though I had documentation of past visual confirmations, I have no lesions left for them to biopsy, and no verruca recorded as a result in a biopsy, BECAUSE the antivirals finally suppressed my condition. I CANNOT cease them. I tried twice, and a new lesion, like clockwork, will appear within 14 days. When one appears, they spread like wildfire. I can’t go through that again. It’s a trauma akin to living in your own body horror film. All I needed was an appointment to speak with the doctor, and coordination of my records from my past Infectious Disease Doctor and Dermatologist should have sufficed for this over tests that literally do not exist. These negligent people decided that they would not see me UNLESS I ALLOWED MY VIRAL WARTS TO RETURN and spread for the two months it will take to see a dermatologist, get a new biopsy, and a new result positive for verruca plana. To clarify: Instead of booking a simple appointment, checking medical records, and prescribing a standard antiviral medication- they asked me to endanger myself, re-traumatize myself, risk damaging the skin on my hands, arms, and face, and have to isolate from my social relationships as a result- just to schedule an appointment. The panic attack I experienced when I thought I was going to lose access to my medication and quality of life because of this almost put me in the hospital today, all because they refused my valid, direct referral for no good reason. I’ve never had any other doctors office or specialists refuse my valid referrals. Due to my experience, I strongly recommend AGAINST pursuing care with Florida Infectious Disease Specialists Inc. There are plenty of other Infectious Disease Doctors in Central Florida to access reliable, comprehensive, and compassionate care from- and that is something that everyone reading this review deserves. No one should have to experience what I went through with this office."
"This place cares more about their co-pay then if a patient actually has appropriate health care and is treated with respect."
"This clinic is a group of highly knowledgeable and efficient physicians. I was seen by Dr Nida Hameed. She is very responsive, very compassionate, very knowledgeable, truly a professional and works with a great team. I have not experienced a physician care as thorough and with such as high quality as I did here. From Day 1 to the end of the treatment, I was understood and directed to the difficult process not only by Dr Hameed but also by her team of staff that work collaboratively to make sure the patient is attended properly. The infusion suite and its nurse Susan are fantastic. She is absolutely awesome at what she does. The administrative team is very efficient in finding appointments, authorizations and approvals. The nurse assistants are very understanding and proactive. Nothing short of a wonderful experience in the midst of a very difficult time that literally saved my life. If you need an infectious disease team, seek this clinic. you will not regret it one minute. Your life depends on it. Care first is truly their motto."
