"Recently, I had a cyst excised by a general surgeon. Soon after the sutures were removed, the wound opened up wide and deep. A surgical assistant packed the wound with Iodoform strips and instructed me to do the same for two weeks, while it healed. I was also told to irrigate the wound daily in the shower with warm water.
