"When you go to a small store like this, you're expecting the employees to be knowledgeable about the hobby. I wouldn't go to Pet Smart and expect them to know much. I have been visiting exotic aquatic since before they moved to commercial. On the 13th of February, I stepped in, looking for some rock that would raise my ph. Walt pointed out a few that would work he said that blue fairy stone (the most expensive) would work best. I trusted this and bought 6.5 pounds. When I got home, I looked it up and learned that what Walt said was not true at all. Blue fairy stone is neutral. Their policy is that all sales are final. Now I'm stuck with a useless $32 rock. I will not go back"

"I drove to 5 other fish stores hunting down a Fancy Betta and Exotic Aquatic by FAR had the best selection! Extremely helpful! Great little set up! If you’re looking for the exotic multi color Bettas look no further!!"

"What a waste of time … we went to the shop today to pick up 5 or 6 items and some fish. When we got there there was only one employee on the floor and a few customers waiting. I actually felt sorry for the guy because one particular customer he was attending to was really needy to say the least. We waited there for half an hour, as we were waiting more customers arrived, finally another employee shows up … he didn’t even bother asking “who’s next”, he just pick someone (who was one of the last people to come in the store), and started helping them leaving the rest of us slack jawed. I drove from Weston to the store because they had everything i needed, and the fish I wanted … yeah won’t be making that mistake again!!"

"I almost gave it 3 stars because they had a fish other stores didn't have. I waited 10 mins for the guy to acknowledge me because he was changing water so I was trying to let him finish. He acted annoyed, put the fish in the bag, ignored my excitement completely and checked me out. I thought it was a one off but after several more visits realized the trend was the same. Nobody said hi, nobody asked how we can be helped, nobody knew anything and gave wrong answers. The worst thing is realizing I overpaid for something by 6x the amount recently. My fault for not doing the research. I'm all for supporting small owned stores and will pay a little extra to do so but 6 times normal value everywhere else is insane. Never again."

"I’ve been buying fish here for nearly a decade; they moved locations a few years ago and their new store is absolutely beautiful, clean, and inviting. They have a decent saltwater stock, but the fish are usually on the smaller side and they rarely get larger fish in stock, but I can guarantee that any fish you buy there will be healthy."
