"I was seeing a "therapist" here, her name is Candy. I opened with the abuse I sustained as a child, which she skipped right over and told me during our 2nd meeting I needed to forgive my abuser. THEN she gave me a religious, Christian based book, without even asking me what religion I practice, about forgiveness. Our 3rd appt she handed me a photo copy of a web page print out on the signs of bipolar. When I asked her if I needed to have all of the symptoms at once or just any at any time. She wave her hand lazily around saying "any at any time" ... this is not how diagnosing someone works. She then ghosted me. I called several times to schedule, because I was in mental health crisis mode and she never called me back. Or answered any of my text messages. It's clear she isn't a truama informed therapist and I found the whole experience so bad it scared me from getting proper help for over a year. After seeing a real therapist, worth her degree, I found out many things about myself, one of which is I am not bipolar at all, I have PTSD and trama related complications as well as sever ADHD. I don't know why she would take on a client she had no intention of helping. How can she help anyone if she can't even recognize how utterly inappropriate her advise is, hands out flippant diagnoses and is not a good communicator."
