"I have had literally over several hundred massages and have to say that Katernia's technique is unique and exceptional. In general, I am pretty open, but was a bit surprised when Katerina explained that her technique was a combination of deep tissue, reiki and yoga (I hope I got that right). Also, I was surprised that we worked on the floor (with cushion). That was not an impediment at all and, in fact, played to Katerina's technique. As is often the case for me, I lost consciousness fairly early, only to resume briefly and periodically during the most strenuous of the deep tissue and bending portions of the massage. In that regard, I felt challenged in a good way during the deepest part of the work and is one of the reasons that I enjoyed it most. I felt that parts of me were reached that often are overlooked in typical massage. I am not sure that this massage is for everyone, particularly those seeking gentle relaxation. But for me, given my Buddhist training and hours of yoga practice, I felt that my massage was an holistic healing experience."
