"This is the most unprofessional organization. They have caused immense harm in my household due to negligent handling of a client with severe mental health. I initially reached out to them in September of 2023. I was looking for Christian counseling, because we are Christians, and received a very comforting email from Jeralyn Tharp stating that the office manager would reach out to me to schedule me. My husband reached out to them in October and received a similar friendly and welcoming email from Jeralyn Tharp. We wanted couples counseling; however, with the way that insurance is set up, that wasn't affordable. We were both told that we would be accommodated, and both spoke with the office manager about our goal to eventually have counseling together. I was told that they had the perfect therapist for my husband who had a military background, etc. We paid for our assessments, and my husband was scheduled with the same counselor that I was already seeing. This is an obvious conflict. His appointment was cancelled the day of his first session and rescheduled. Then he received another call stating that they could not accommodate him. We had already paid them and went through assessments mind you, we were committed. They ended up finding someone for him to see and he met with her for several months. I had also been seeing my therapist for several weeks when she didn't show up for a telephone session. The agency never made a notification to me. I sent a message to the phone that I had received appointment confirmations from, and to my therapist via email. No response. In the beginning of February, 2024 (after my husband had been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder), I discovered that he and his therapist were exchanging "casual" text messages and memes back and forth that were incredibly inappropriate given the circumstances. Jeralyn Tharp asked for proof of the therapist texting so I sent it to her and I have no idea what happened after that but my husband was rescheduled with a male therapist with seemingly more appropriate credentials. They just called and cancelled his appointment AND once again told him that they can no longer accommodate him. Anyone who knows anything about Bipolar Disorder knows the level of rejection that this can cause in a person without Bipolar Disorder, but to repeatedly fail someone with severe mental health is just gross and negligent to say the least. My counselor was awesome while I had her. This organization as a whole is a disgrace. Grossly failing at the whole "do no harm" thing. Unreal. Thanks for the constant disruption and resulting spirals Freedom Fighters Therapy! I have the emails and text messages to back all of this up."
"Totally supportive work environment. Personally, our agency has a family feel. Each looking out for another. Jeralyn and her administrative staff are there for you."
